Javyn - yes, preferences are innate to a certain extent, but I look at your last sentence from a different perspective. Yes, people can choose to shave or not, but it's also worth asking questions about why things are as they are (media, marketing, etc.) and how expectations have changed over the years. At the end of the day, some people are still going to prefer one look over another, and that's fine. What isn't fine is when someone I'm dating pressures me to make a decision I'm not comfortable with for myself, and a lot of guys have done this. When I was a teenager and in my early twenties, I sometimes caved in to their requests...but now, anyone who gives me a hard time quickly gets the boot. On that note, I fully cop to being a size queen - but most of the guys I date have average-sized dicks, and I don't get them penis pumps for their birthday.

I'm currently bush free. My first reason for it is hygiene. The second reason is athletics. Not a good look having small tuft of hair poking out of your sexist undies. Graduated college in 1970 so I'm from the era of the full bush. I find clean shaven or almost bare pussies to have "no personality." A bush can differentiate a woman. HazelGod, do you shave your pit hair? If so, fair enough, but I find it kinda funny when guys think that girls who don't are somehow unhygienic but don't shave themselves. As far as visual appeal goes, you're certainly entitled to your preference, but I think anyone who alters their body in any way should be doing it for themselves above all. On that note, someone can refrain from shaving and still take pride in their appearance - they just have a different idea of what looks nice than you do.

I trim mine. Makes the deodorant easier... and I just shaved them recently.

For me, there is no such thing as too much pubic hair. I don't mind pit hair either. Without any hair, women just look too young. I do love that look of freedom on a woman.
