Fascinating list of banal stereotypes.

Some of these things are only funny for so long. Not to be judgmental or a hypocrite....

I am friendly with a few gay men that have their own pilot light built in and can "flame on" on demand. They are great people and have their own strengths and weaknesses like everyone else.

These same people have also brought entire rooms of people to their knees with laughter. I also find them to be some of the loneliest people I have ever known.

I believe on a subconscious level, society views these flamboyant people as being "less than" because of the masculinity factor. Many of them carry resentments towards masculine men because of the attitude directed towards them and are ostracized in their own community, while other men never bother to view them this way.

Good people are just that, good people. Regardless of the packaging.

In any case stereotypes make for dangerous playmates because they are always, in some form, at another person's expense.

In fact no self respecting queer would listen to Trance anymore, and only americans and guys who drive appallingly pimped cheap cars who live in Essex or Munich listen to or call anything "Techno" anymore.

Elderly references people.

Ah.. and your perfect in your country right? Ya.. sure.
So, what does a "Self respecting Queer" like yourself Listen to?

Progressive Trance, Techno, and House are like food to many.
Just because you don't like a genre of music, doesn't mean its importance is any less.

YouTube - Resul Yaz?c? - Dj Tiesto or Armin Van Buuren -White Party-

Let's not forget Ministry of Sound.
Hmm...Not just an american treat.

He calls some of his male friends 'she', and has girl names for them....Felix - Felicia, Geraldo - Geraldine.... etc, etc....

The male that sashays furiously down the high street, erect back, suited and booted, trailing a wheeled suitcase behind.

When in complicit conversation on a phone, says hunny and darling a lot and gives good counselling.

The older male that is still unmarried, and looks inordinately younger and in better shape than his peers.

Are you saying that being married to a woman ages a man quicker than if he's single or gay? You said it, I didn't!

Wow that's cute! Did I say that the older male was gay? It's about implication.... I'm saying that gay men tend to be more narcissistic generally....did you really miss that!?!?!

Now let me ask you a question.....are you saying that I am a misogynist? You suggested it....I most certainly didn't!

Blimey!!!

I really dislike this type of queen. Addressing a guy, he'll sneer, "Get her"... or "What's up her ass?"

And sometimes he'll snap his fingers in a Z-formation, as if clever.

I have been called "Wilma" many times before by this type.

Me too Will, I know the kind of queen you are talking about here, now that's one nasty queen!

Although I meant it differently, and from a personal perspective as I have experienced the same from close gay friends, (Edwina!).....it's not bitchy, or nasty, it's actually a form of affection....as the reason behind it is to cause the recipient a good laugh! Nothing wrong with a bit of camp amongst gay friends!! You should hear what me and DaveyR call each other!!!

Drives me up the wall when gay friends call me 'Erica'. What is really annoying is that my middle initial is 'A'...and sometimes telemarketers call and ask for Erica or I get mass mailers addressed to Erica _________ .

Another key sign tho is being able to recite, word for word, key parts of 'Mommie Dearest'....even if you were not alive when it came out.

Or having a Sunday to do list that looks like:

11am wake up
1pm brunch with the boyz (no matter how old they are, they are boys)
3pm gym
530pm tan
6pm hit Trader Joe's and stock up for the week
730pm tapas with the boys (different set)
9pm Desperate Housewives with some 2 Buck Chuck from T.J.s
1030pm bedtime...have to get up early and have the oil changed in the MINI Cooper while doing cardio before work
