I'd comment but I would be going against the grain yet again, better leave my political comments on my other favorite forum.

I just wanted to show you guys I can practice restraint, really, I can. My God my fingers... they just can't....help....

Anybody know the name of the old, black and white B-movie in which a severed hand went around strangling people in some mansion?

(Chrys see how I snuck in God again...KIDDING!!!)

It starred Peter Lorre, a really odd looking guy, I believe. Maybe he was hung like a rhinoceros? The name escapes me.

I have been listening to the news. I can't believe how fast it has happened. Plus, death by hanging?? Why such a crude method? Why not lethal injection?
Lethal injection is not nearly as humane as people are led to believe.
I'm surprised they aren't beheading him.
Frankly so am I
I'm surprised they aren't using the techinique with the rat in the pail on the stomach.
The electric chair is the worst. You're burning from the inside out and sometimes they have to flip the switch more than once
Is life in jail punishment enough?
Living the rest of his life in total and complete fear would be just punishment. Life in jail doesn't accomplish this unfortunately. Neither does capital punishment.

I think he should have lived his life in jail.... and have had the same freedoms as the other inmates, as far as being able to be out of his cell... I think he should be with all the other common criminals so he can get his ass kicked. :) Murdering him bothers me... kicking his ass doesn't.

You haven't had the rat in the bucket, have you?

They put a rat in a bucket, place the bucket on your exposed stomach and heat the bucket with a blowtorch. As the bucket heats up, the rat begins to panic and tries to escape, it can only go down, so it starts tearing away at the flesh, eating its way down through the stomach.

Wow. I've never heard of that before, but it's quite disgusting. :D

i have studied this a lot. That study you referenced has been debunked.

For example the US has 2.4 million deaths per year. About .8%. Germany (a dying country if ever there was one) has a death rate of 1.1%. 655000 deaths over 3 years in a country of 24 million like Iraq is on target for most WESTERNIZED countries as it stands today who aren't in a war. In order for that claim of an increase in mortality, the pre war death rate would have had to have been insignificant. 220,000 deaths per year or 650000/3 years = 220000 or about .9% of 24,000,000.

I am almost certain the original authors have pulled this study.

Sadam is dead. But where is Osam ben Laden?

Once again, the Bush wingnuts are spinning the propaganda to make this out as the biggest victory of the 'war' and a victory against terrorism.

People still believe that Sadam was involved in the World Trade Center because the Bush wingnuts want you to believe that crock.

And we are still mired in what is becoming a full-out civil war.

And where is the 'enemy' we are at war against? Can you identify the 'enemy' in Iraq? Can you but a face on them?

At least now, with Sadam out of the picture, maybe we can refocus on Osam ben Laden and getting our butts out of Iraq.

Okay... then what about this study? They seem pretty confident, and it was only done two months ago...

That's a nasty way to die but I think if you took a poll on how people would choose to end their lives, you'd get a variety of responses. Some people think the gas chamber is the worst because they can't bear to think of being suffocated. Drowning for others. Being burned alive at the stake or drawn and quartered. There are plenty of horrible ways to die. Personally, I think the firing range is the most humane. If you're standing there with a blindfold and cigarette and 6 men are lined up in front of you and start gunning you down, chances are you'll die quickly.

+No not stupid at all. Actually quite pertinent to this site. How many guys have *doctored* their stats to appear more *manly?* Its a habit intrinsically welded in the Y chromosome.

Just like a uterus has a navigation device for finding lost keys, wallets, toys, pens, scotch tape, etc. Men can't find shit usually. Most of us can't find a clit without signage.
