And Scott, I believe you are right, there ARE a lot of women who like gay porn...I wish the industry would accept us and try and work with us, but it almost seems like there is a resentment amongst some for us "horning in" on the action.

You should probably make some gay porn that you would like to see. Do a market study on it. See if women will buy it.

See I think there's a slight disconnect here, there definitely isn't a lot of gay porn out there which I suspect you would recognise the intimacy in. That's because intimacy and passion between men often (though not always) takes a somewhat different form to intimacy and passion between men and women.

Something which looks purely exploitative and rough/hardcore to you might actually strike a pretty intense and even tender note for some guys.

However you're right there probably is some resistance in the gay porn industry to the idea of making gay porn for women for one reason or another, though I seem to recall that actually a small amount is, but just as heterosexual porn made for gay men has been a big hit you can be sure that market forces will dictate the blossoming of a new genre of gay porn aimed at women like you soon enough.

I think in the big mix there are as many sites without the mean undertone, it just there isnt much middle ground. Its either belami type sites or harder fetish stuff.

Well it takes one good idea though. I hope that you direct and produce one good gay film someday. The world always needs new and fresh insight. The best way to learn filmmaking is to watch a lot of films. Take notes. Then, you will have to use what you have learned and make your films your way.

Do what people AREN'T doing. If gay porn is hiring straight guys to do gay porn. Then you could hire gay men to do straight porn. AND make it hot.

Scottredleter, you make a good point, one that I failed to take into account. There IS a difference in how men and women "do" sex. So I guess two manly types of guys might be a bit more aggressive with each other than either might be with a woman, a different dynamic going on...
I DO think there is a large market for the gentler stuff, though, both among women and many gay men. I don't think the porn industry has really tried to capture that market. It seems that softer stuff is rare, or accidental, in most porn out there today. So, folks like me trying to wend my way through what's out there tend to see a lot of "ripping", "tearing", and "busting" with very little affection. Or those awful "Let's fuck with the straight guy" sites, which are kinda like the "Jackass" series of porn.

cyravance, I'm somewhat similar to you in what I think is erotic in all porn. I've had intimate experiences with girls and guys, and generally speaking guys are more aggressive in terms of love-making. But in my experience a lot has to do with the kind of relationship you have with the other person. If it's just a fuck-buddy sort of thing, then that's the style of sex. If it's more about emotion, then it's gentle, tender and loving. You'd be surprised at how tender men can be with each other. It's just not something that most guys would share verbally with a woman. When guys trust and love one another, our sexual/emotional connection is very similar to what most guys and girls do. It just isn't expressed in public very much. Or maybe it's more taboo. I think that the 2005 film "Brokeback Mountain" is about a relationship between two guys that is very loving, warm, tender and satisfying. Even though the story line is painful to watch, the love between those two guys was as romantic as any I've ever seen. "Love is a force of nature." :biggrin1:

And, Hung Jon, you're right, it does depend on the relationship. I'll tell you though, and I may be in the minority here, but plain sex itself doesn't arouse me nearly as much as a story with some 'meat on the bones'...and in fact, is often MORE arousing to me.
