I think some of the James Bond tunes are great as background music for a seductive evening, probably because a lot of them have been sung by women with sexy voices: Shirley Bassey (birthday today!), Carly Simon, Nancy Sinatra, Sheena Easton, etc. I feel a tingle down my spine when I listen to them, and with the stereo system tuned to the lowest volume, I actually love to hear them when I have a romantic dinner. More than once, the tunes were the best thing about the movies. Screw the movie, just listen to the tune. And maybe watch the trailer.

My Top Three are Carly Simon's Nobody does it better, from The spy who loved me, Nancy Sinatra's You only live twice, from the same-titled movie, and Diamonds are forever by Shirley Bassey, from the same-titled movie.
