"If there were any truth to what Boehner said, if "job creators" really were "on strike" and if they really did believe that "the joint committee is a jobs committee," then job growth would have soared after the conclusion of the debt deal in early August. Instead, this is what happened"

Daily Kos: Boehner: 'Job creators in America are essentially on strike'

the Republican's jobs plan is to kill the EPA and Dept of Ed.

I'm trying to figure out how that works exactly

You're forgetting the crucial piece of the puzzle: put the brakes on abortion.

Once they've done all that, you just *watch* those jobs start opening up!

Boehner is dead on correct. The business community is convinced that the Obama Administration is guessing and reaching. They aren't going to invest or hire until they are convinced otherwise. Why would they? Regardless your affiliation, this president is stepping all over himself again and again.

He is awful. He's broken every promise to the liberals and middle class, he's driven a shitty economy into an even unheard of sewer, and he has no solutions for anything.

Carry on.

Then it will be easy for the Republicans to put forward a better alternative.

Oh wait . . .

Oh wait . . .

And it's so easy to forget that a republican controlled congress and White House gave birth to the "shitty economy" Barack Obama inherited. "This guy's not workin'... let's give those other guys a shot?" Those other guys are functionally retarded and the most popular among them as uniformly been the worst in the race at the time.

Ron Paul looks measured and reasonable by comparison to the republican field (and by that I mean the Republicans who won't run third party after they don't get the nomination from the RNC and go on to practically ensure an Obama victory.)

I'm with the people that have serious qualms with the President. I am among them. However, when given the list of alternatives? I can only imagine things getting worse. Non-action duck and cover governance dressed up as leadership certainly isn't ideal but it's better than balls to the wall insane.

<yawn> More libby BS.

This is a prime example of what's wrong with both sides of the fence; people are so lazy they can't be bothered to spell out the words that constitute their "argument," let alone articulate them, let alone enforce them with anything. 50%, half, of that is an attempt at sarcasm and the other half is a giant billboard that says in big red letters "FIX OUR PUBLIC EDUCATION SYSTEM. LOOK WHAT IT DID TO ME!"

It really is a shame. I... pity this sort of reaction because people honestly don't know any better in a lot of instances, so how can they be blamed?

Get rid of the army, you mean.

30% reduction in everything. The only things the government should be involved in are protecting the country, building roads and infrastructure and delivering mail.

Daily Kos? ... and we mock Americans whose main news source is Comedy Central...

Where's the cream pie chart illustrating the share of "green jobs" attributable to Biden's flatulence?

Ooops! ...and even that seems to be a challenge these days. Too bad, the USPS has a lot going for it, but has failed to leverage its natural advantage and to adapt to e-commerce.
