Know what's equally annoying?

I've never seen so much l33t talk in my life on these forums. What's so hard about typing out the word; instead of using words like: st8, m8 etc..

It's annoying to say the least, and it makes it hard to for me to read.



Just saying, it's annoying and makes it hard for use to read.

Fair enuf. I honestly only started typing a few words like that because I thought I needed to 'get with the programme'.

My mom was an English teacher and she'd be very pissed off if she saw how slack I'd become.

Many use word shortcuts and abbreviations because that's how they text on their phone. I use "ur" for "your" a lot and other such works. It's gotten to be a habit, I text friends quite a bit. And I'm ancient ... 47 years old! But there are worse things in the world.

Texting is different, and I abbreviate as much as I can on that.

I don't abbreviate text messages unless I can't fit everything in, and I only need a couple more 'characters' to complete my message... in that case, I might abbreviate a word just to make it all fit.
