A really shallow rant that probably doesn't deserve its own thread.

Thank you all for the commiseration and support.

I knew I came back here for a reason.

Now, LPD, I suggest that you let MB wax your pubes (there is no pleasure like pain), and I'll take the pictures. Deal?

Well, the wedding was a lot of fun. Hair disaster and being late aside, it was fun. It's the first wedding I've been to in a loooong time where I wasn't working and was with friends. The soup and salad were AMAZING... I wore six inch heels and didn't fall on my face, had my nails and makeup done. the baby was in an adorable seersucker suit, and the husband was beind a sweetheart all night. I even got compliments on the hair. Which is the PERFECT color for my dress (royal purple).

So anyway, hugs, blowjobs and cunnilingus to you all (choose one or more as it suits you), and I've attached photos of the hair. In black and white, but still. You'll get the idea. Think BRIGHT STRAWBERRY BLONDE.

All told, things worked out well. I have wonderful friends and a wonderful family. And, damn, those cosmos were GOOD.

You can tell me it looks goofy if you think so. It will grow back.

I wonder if crises like this are why so many women wear hats to weddings.

Women wear hats to weddings?? What are they, 65?

Snoozan, I don't mind your hair. I think the important part is that it wasn't butchered and it will grow back, like you said. In all honesty, I loved the longer dark hair you had in the photo of you and the dogs. With all change, it takes time to get used to. I am sure I will say I love the new photo in a month or two.

Yeah, that chin length dark hair seems to be the most flattering. That's what I'm aiming for in the next few months.

Give it three weeks and play with it in the meantime. I had my hair that short years ago and I would part it on one side or the other, spike it, etc. Your naturally bright eyes really stand out in this pic. The color may not be what you desired but you wear short hair well.

Take a good hair and nail multivitamin, b-complex, and silica. Your hair will grow like the proverbial weed. Silica keeps your hair soft and brightens your natural colour.

Snoozan,

I am just glad that you are feeling a bit better about this. Sweetie, you had every right to be upset. Our hair is a very personal thing and a big part of who many of us are and how we perceive ourselves. Hey, it got Don Imus fired! LOL! I think the hat idea is a wonderful one. I have been wearing them since childhood (I think I must have read too many Madeline books and seen Gigi too many times! LOL! ) Luckily it will grow back in time. Hey , I got mine trimmed yesterday and was watching my stylist like a hawk. She knew not to give me one of those foot long trims which she has done before. As for color I am just letting mine do what it naturally wants to do. After witnessing a similar disaster with one of my girlfriends, I stay away from the colorist.
