Let's get up close and personal, shall we?

What's your real name? :biggrin1: ALSO does your name mean anything special? Were you named after someone? AND look it up here and tell us what it means, if you so choose.

    <~~~I go by my own.

I'm a southern girl! As in "Heather LouAnna, please pass the ketchup." My middle name is from my two aunts on my mother's side; Aunt Anna and Aunt CindyLou. They were inseperable as children and many called them "CindyLouAnna"

Also, heather is a little flowery thing. It grows all over Europe apparently. I've never EVER seen a heather plant. Ever.

Funnily enough I'm called David after my Father, Paternal Grandfather and Maternal Grandfather's middle name.

Imagination was definitely lacking in my family.

The name David is a baby boy name. The name David comes from the Hebrew origin. In Hebrew The meaning of the name David is: Beloved or friend. The Old Testament David killed the giant Goliath in 10th Century BC, then succeeded Saul as King of Israel.

    :)

I looked it up on THIS website.

I'd read before that it meant beloved. This promises to be an interesting thread so thanks for starting it Heather.

I'm the fourth in my family to have my name, I don't really feel it is "mine". Although it doesn't refer to me, it is a name that is all over the net, just something I have in common with a celeb. A few people here know about it.

One of my real middle names is Bartholomew, which I quite like because it is uncommon here. Nevertheless I don't reveal it to people who know me because I admit, I am shy about it for some reason, and I know they will laugh.

I feel a bit like that. When I travel back to the UK I usually visit family graves. It always spooks me out when I see MY name on the headstone when I visit my grandfather's grave.

This is all I will say:

My real name is a unisex name (can be used for a girl or boy).

My real name is Irish in origin.

My real name is not Holly, although I think Holly is a very pretty name.

When my lover (Artfulwilly) first learned my real name, he didn't like it (probably because of its androgyny). Now he loves it.

    My second name means conquering/victorious

I prefer my second name really. Its less common and has a better meaning.

I know what his name is, and it is the same as mine. We have an exclusive yet unofficial club here with others of that name. Fratpack and I share a name also. But for now, all you get is the name of my evil twin—Sam.

My birth name is Otis, and although many think it means 'drunkard' or 'town slut' or drunk as a skunk whoring old man' or even 'Genius with all the answers' (or a combination of any of the preceding)--it turns out that it has two distinct meanings.

THe German meaning is:Wealth or wealthy (HA! what a joke)

The Greek meaning is: One who hears well (It took me a while to understand what they were saying, they spoke too darned softly).

    Hi,

Well, most people know by now that my first name is Kimberly which originated after a Lord Kimberly and we know about the mines in South Africa. My middle name means "Graceful" It is the French spelling. My last name is about as Celtic as you can get. IT means "Warrior from the royal fortress meadow" With my lineage it was going to be something Celtic! Alrighty then...:biggrin1:
