Geez, when people said fucked up I pictured something different. Like I thought they meant fucked up in the same way that Melancholia or Requiem for a Dream are fucked up. But damn... this is like FUCKED UP! It’s just plain sick. And I just read the Wikipedia plot. I can’t think of anything sexual for at least a weeek.

The film is essentially a dark comedy/horror, though. Yes, the content is disturbing, but it's done in such a slapstick, tongue in cheek manner that it didn't actually bother me much. I'm a mega horror fan, though, so a film has to be more serious in tone and execution to really get under my skin.

Yes same here. I was way too young when I watched it but still it's clearly not meant to look realistic or anything. I remember watching it the same day as Pink Flamingos and it all seemed to have the same tone to me.

Don't know many, but if you put male frontal on IMDB, you get tons of movies with frontals. A few like Shame where fassbender was frontal the whole time

Good comparison! PF is another film filled with disturbing content that is actually hilarious. The only scene that genuinely rubs me wrong in that one is the chicken scene. I’m not vegan or anything, but I see no reason to actually torment and terrify a living being for the sake of art.

on almost all levels Pink Flamingo is much disturbing than A Serbian Film because, well... they barely faked anything.
