To do cannabis? Or 'say' you have? Shitloads of MP's have been saying they smoked a J. I just noticed this today. There was a long list of the politicians who have partaken of some pot. Is it the 'in' thing or are they just owning up to it before they get outed? It astounds me.

This is just my thought for the day.

Did they say "I did not inhale." :) I would think they are just getting it out into the open before someone finds out and tries to say they are keeping secrets.

I don't think anyone regards cannabis as a big deal anymore.Mo Mowlam owned up to trying it in her student days and the general opinion was that most students do try it - who cares?
It doesen't turn them into heroin addicts.

Such 'admissions' by politicians come and go.

The thing is, I don't think I've ever heard one with the spine to say - "I knew it was wrong but I did it anway, and I enjoyed it". When one does, maybe I'll vote for them.

This reminds me of the Marion Barry incident. (I think that's how his name is spelled) That was crazy.

It is simply that a younger generation is coming onto its own in politics.

And you'll be hard-pressed to find someone 40-45 who hasn't at least tried it....

It just isn't such a big deal anymore. People can't stand around and GASP at the thought....

Most people nowadays will say, "And??..."

That is how it should be too. Being shocked that someone smokes weed is like being shocked that someone drinks a few beers every now and then or smokes cigarettes. It's just too common for it to be taboo or shocking.
