I’m not sure this thread will get any traction but just having some major feelings of needing to work on changing some things.

I’ve always been worried about ruffling someones feathers online which is absolutely insane. I can also be easily manipulated online as well as in real life.

So moving forward I’m going to try and speak up for myself more and in a tactful way if possible lol.

Is there anything that you’re working on to change in your life?

Actually, I'm working on the exact opposite.

There are times I should just keep my mouth shut, but I have a compulsion to say whatever is bothering me. It's like expelling a demon. The thing is, sometimes when I do that I feel like I'm giving it to someone else in a way. Placing the weight on their shoulders.

Sometimes they need it, and that's why I feel compelled to confront anything/anyone with an issue I have. But other times it impacts people who aren't involved, and the outcome of speaking my mind isn't necessarily worth the potential stress I may have caused to someone who just happened to be there when I was confronting whoever it was that pissed me off or whatever.

I'm blunt, and aggressive. Sometimes good traits to have. Other times? Not so much.

We balance one another out nicely kcrown. ❤️

<--I don't have feathers in real life :joy:

I used to be really shy and timid but the extrovert in me always screamed to get out. I got thrown into some unstoppable drama beyond my control a few years ago. It was the worst time of life but I wouldn't take it back; I'm a stronger person because of it.

When I'm really upset about something, I need to just shut the fuck up and think about the situation before opening my mouth.

I am working on defending my boundaries better. I should work on communicating better what I need from someone, apparently I'm not clear enough.
I am working on getting my head and heart aligned, so far I'm not making much progress there.
And I'm working on being more proactive, taking initiative instead of reactive and just responding to what comes my way.

@Tight_N_Juicy I also usually say things the way they are and can come across as blunt/aggressive at times. What sometimes helps, is to take more time before bringing things up, to 1) determine whether it's worth making an issue of and 2) trying to formulate it in a non-aggressive way.
Part of the problem with me is that I'm too honest, and I guess that part is something I can't change. But maybe for you it can help. :)

This seems rather mundane compared to the honorable posts above, but I decided about 6 months ago to get my weight back down to 160 by my 65th birthday. That's about ten pounds I needed to lose. I'm in the 160.x range today and my birthday is Tuesday. Almost there. :)

My life is a mess Times 10 , Trying to list all the things I need to fix ; or am trying to fix will take forever to list.
So, I will just say that I am taking the first steps , in acknowledging the areas in my life that need work; and by acknowledging them, I can prioritize and rectify them
