What a terrible tragedy. And now it is coming out that he was bi and had a long term affair with a friend from high school. The guy he killed after the nightclub incident knew of it, had previously walked in on him having sex with the guy, and that the guy may have called him a derogatory name about being gay or at least referenced his gay activities. Enraged at the slur and for possibly being "outed," he followed the guy and killed him in the drive-by car shooting.
Several commentators have also stated that his motive for suicide was because that information was coming out stronger and that there was even a Facebook Page asking gay and lesbians to write him prison to tell him it was okay to be gay.
And yes, some speculate that he was undoubtedly dealing with depression and that he may have had a financial motive for committing suicide. But as one commentator said, "He did it after being found innocent of the other murders, so what was new or different? Chances are it was the information that he was gay or at least bisexual."
Geezus. To think in this day and age a person kills himself over his (or her) sexual preferences is head rattling.

Tim Tebow and Aaron were friends and both played college and pro football together and perhaps had other things in common too:

I think what is coming out is just one piece of a complicated puzzle Hernandez was. I do not though want to now push this he was bi/gay and was forced to do this to hide himself. The guy was a bully and trash, and just because he was acquitted doesnt mean he didnt do these other murders. If he did in fact kill a guy who was going to out him ( and that is just rumor) it doesnt make me feel any sympathy for him..it actually makes me think worse ( if that is possible) of him.

I read the team coach paired Tebow up with Hernandez as a "life coach" so to speak to help get him on track. To work with him to try to get him to some sort of normalcy. But Hernandez continued his extreme lifestyle, his heavy boozing and bad boy lifestyle. Tebow saw he wasn't getting anywhere getting Hernandez straightened up and withdrew from helping Hernandez before his reputation was damaged.
