Yeah, I get you. Isn't Europe better at this stuff than we are? What works? Does anyone know?
in europe free condoms are everwhere, in some places like certain parks, where people might play, they even have little condom boxes handy...they are realistic about human sexuality, instead of being in denial like our current administration... but lets not confuse the poor admin with facts and science they so much want to believe in whatever voodo strikes them since truth might hurt their little pea brains...

Ok kids...do you remember learning about facism in world history class?

I only meant to say...When you start taking away someones rights...that's is how it starts. My family left Europe after WW1, because they saw the handwriting on the wall. My immediate family was devistated by Senator McCarthy and his henchmen in the 50's. I know the difference. What is The difference between real fascism and neo fascism?

Agreed. I've been saying we were in a dictatorship for six years. I'm glad everyone is finally noticing.

Just more handiwork courtesy of the "Police of Thought". Sad part is that there are many who continue to defend this kind of intrusion into every part of our personal lives. Maybe not "fascism" by the technical definition of the word, but perhaps something more sinister, I think.

Trans, I don't think there's any sex-ed program out there telling 9th to 12th graders to start squeezing out puppies. Let alone MORE little welfare-baby rugrats. If she's already pregnant she can abort or if that's against her religion give the child up for adoption or she might have to live with it. If she has proper education in this area she might use brith control and not get knocked up with the poor disadvantaged bastard in the first place. Or the morning after pill or something.

But I think welfare-mom/queen to be has already established that abstenence isn't going to work for her along with an inability to keep her legs shut per the shrubtardchristian ideal. Give her a bunch of birth control pills or some depo and condoms is she is sleeping around and I've just cut down 97-99% of all the future welfare-rugrats.

From the sound of your post, sounds like you've already determined the program will fail teaching abstinence, even at the 9th-12th grades. The welfare policies in the past (USA) have encouraged the poor to increase production. It meant more needy=more money. As I understand it, the policies are becomming increasingly difficult for welfare.

Don't be so quick to judge the effectiveness of a program. Throw money at problems and they get solved, well relatively solved that is. You won't eliminate all the problems, but for sure, improve on eliminating even more of them. Then you have to weigh the costs of those fewer problems, how much was spent to eliminate problems that would've cost a quantifiable and identifiable amount.

They've already run 1 Billion dollars of the abstinence programs for the 9to 12th graders. The only result was more teen pregnancy and disease. This is about extending a broken loser of a program to to a wider audience.

That's true - in theory. But in reality, we are talking about human sexuality. Just simply telling someone "don't have sex" ain't gonna work. As I mentioned before, it has to be part of a comprehensive education to have any effectiveness at all. For people of any age, saying "don't do it" is going to encourage them to do it. For kids just starting puberty and up to about age 20 or so, they have curiosity, raging hormones, and the "forbidden fruit" syndrome working against them.

And regardless of how it is presented, I just don't buy the line that ANY abstinence program is going to be effective for the 18 - 29 crowd. They already know everything. Some authority figure telling them to abstain is not likely to be well-received.

You're telling me the whores in washington have authority ? Maybe on the subject of how to be more whoreish. This program is driven by dogma.

Hahah, stretcher, I never said they have authority, I said they would be seen as authority figures! When a 19-year-old college freshman sees some official-looking person handing out brochures printed by the government printing office and telling him "don't have sex," what do you think his initial response is?

I agree that admonishing people to abstain from sex outside of marriage won't work. Maybe we should stone aldulterers to death like in the middle east.
So, what would your recommendation be for those who have sex outside marriage, but are not adulterers?

Wouldn't it be better to just cut off all penises and sew all vaginas shut? And for your information, they don't stone adulterers in the middle east. They hang them. And queers, too. And victims of abuse.

Of course, since you drag out this trite piece regularly, I should point out that, by all means, since they do something abhorrant over there, and since it gives you smug pleasure to point that out, and since it gives you an opportunity to discreetly slam "the liberals" and social reformers, we should, of course, do (as you point out) whatever they do over in those countries you don't like.

Hey, since I'm still a virgin, can I get a job in the US? Yay. :)

I suppose this is similar to the "nanny state" attitude that the UK sometimes bowls over with, although they haven't decided to cut the growth rate of the country to 0 just yet.
