Mental health issues would be the ones I'd be thinking of most... (going on 39 years now, of abstinance...) Generally, we're an intimate creature.
You mean you practiced abstinence for 39 years? Regarding mental or psychological health issues, I can tell that I feel very well. What about you? Have you noticed any change?

There is, also, for guys, a (potential) social stigma on "not getting any"... depending where you live etc..
I never discuss such issues with anyone, so no ones knows if and what "I am getting".

Physical release, the body can do on it's own (wet dreams, as was previously mentioned)
Now, here is the deal. I never have wet dreams. I guess I am not "wired" like most of the other guys. After so many years of abstinence, I noticed that my body adjusted to excess of fluids by releasing some of them after urination, perhaps once or twice per week. In the end, while I squeeze the muscles to evacuate the last drops, I see sometimes prostatic fluids flowing out. This happens without any stimulation. I am however wondering if such fluids can contain sperm, without previous erotic stimulation. Anyone knows?

I have read in several places that it is best for the prostate to be discharged on a regular basis. Biologically speaking, abstinence is not a "natural" condition.

Ergo my initial question.

The only "side effect" that I noticed so far, after my body reached the new equilibrium state, is increased energy. This means that I need more physical activity during the day in order to sleep better in the night. But I don't know if this can be attributed exclusively to the total lack of sexual activity. Perhaps people around here working out regularly (or professionally) could provide an insight on this.

Changes: More recently, wanting to have intimate partners.

Discussing with others... *shrug* You're right.. this crap shouldn't really be out in the open... but, I guess it is.

Wet dreams/weekly release. Possible sperm content. Just get a doctor to check it out (or check it out in a high-powered microscope yourself, if you can get access to one, and slides)
