After polling showed that he was going to lose by a landslide in 1948 ("DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN"), and then winning by a landslide himself, Truman made reference to all of the "Wednesday Morning Democrats". That you couldn't find a soul that was going to vote for him on Tuesday, but on Wednesday morning it turns out everyone had voted for him.

Very sad news. A wonderful actor. One of my favorite movies is Garbo Talks (1984). He was great in it.

Damn, lot of good actors biting it over the big C. To include very soon Pancreatic Patrick Swayze.

Ron Silver... hmmm... a memorable face because he was unmistakeably Semitic in appearance, but an otherwise unmemorable actor. It's too bad he let his politics get in the way of his overacting. He was good in the entity, but could only play Jews convincingly. He had absolutely no range as an actor, but I enjoyed whatever I was seeing him in I think?

He did two good movies, the aforementioned Garbo Talks and Silkwood.

I liked him in the "Entity".

It's too bad he was a right winger.
