In fact Reeves has got a lot of Depp's leftovers as Depp was apparently wanted for the Matrix, Point Break and Speed - but I may be going OT as he was never actually contracted to play any of those roles.

Also, not a casting change........but the original concept for the 1987 movie, The Lost Boys, were originally suppose to be played by nine-year old boys, but the idea was rejected and so they had to keep them as young adults. Totally different movie right there.

Also, the role for Mildred Pierce was passed on to actresses like Bette Davis, Rosiland Russell, and Barbara Stanwyck. But all turned it down and Joan Crawford was so after that role that would earn her the Oscar of a lifetime.
