Is it worth it? What have you gained by doing so? What would you be doing if there was no internet?

Creating, Building, Inventing, Writing? Contributing? Masturbating...:) What?

I just joined the community. In my spare time, I build boats. It is my hobby. So if there is no internet in the whole world then come to me for cool boats :)
Photos of your creations and invention would be terrific. I knew an old Italian builder, carpenter who once built timber boats in Italy.

He was a torpedo boat crewman in WW2. Was present and watching from afar the landing of Allies on the shores of Europe. I asked if he attacked any of the ships...............his reply was " Are you crazy ?" He said it was like daylight for a week...continuous flares at night to land ordinance, tanks, men, troop carriers, he said it would have been suicide to attempt attack.

He became one of Brisbane's, Queensland, Australia's, best builders when he moved here after the war.

He's been gone 15 years or so now, yet the homes he built, the ships wheels he made for sailing clubs, will be there for many years.

I hope to be able to share my creations with you in the future.

Your story sounds pretty interesting and I think that old boat builder really was right. Those were very dangerous times.

Now I'd like to know his name :)
