Be consistent.
Hold yourself accountable.

No single diet plan works for everybody.
No single exercise program works for everybody.
People can figure out what works for them, with some honest effort and analysis.

What kills probably better than 80% of people's desired results is not being consistent.

What do you think the best advice you could give to a newbie to fitness is?
Don’t rely on motivation. Understand that to be successful takes consistency and to be consistent takes discipline. Motivation comes and goes... your results will do the same if your habits follow your motivation.

Beginner phase is where most folks are the most progress: do not waste the phase, train consistently and give it all you got, you may see gains like in no other time in the rest of your training life.

The best exercise is the one you'll do every day. For me it's yoga, swimming and cycling in that order.

This applies to equipment, for example, the best exercise machine is the one you'll use every day and want to use every day.

If you're overweight, older or have chronic medical conditions see your doctor first.
