Hey gents, so I’m starting to work on my appearance, for no other reason than I just want to get healthy. I’ve dropped about 15 lbs, with another 25 to go to make my goal.

Here’s my question - I’m having some toning issues. I’ve included pictures of the things I’d like to correct - the line where my stomach and natural waist meet, the little love handles, my side boob, and the little pocket above my cock. Do you have any advice or exercises on the best ways to tone these areas?

Thanks for helping me on my journey!

I know this might sound harsh, but you have to simply lose the fat before you can consider which muscle areas to focus on. Otherwise, you're simply working muscle groups that are covered in fat without seeing any benefits.

You mean, minus an increase in muscle mass and more resting calories being burned per day?

25? Maybe 50. Seriously. Check your bmi. Should be below 25. Build muscle yes, but the fat must go. There are some areas where fat loss may not help, like that pubic pad. Gravity takes its toll, and skin doesn't shrink either. Sometimes skin removal is the only solution to looking tighter.

Agree with advice already given, just focus mainly on dropping overall body fat and build a bit of muscle, your body will form itself naturally

That’s amazing how you were able to accurately determine how much I needed to lose based on BMI! Seriously! I just figured it out, and I’d need to get down to 199 to be at 24.9 (I’m 6’ 3”) thanks for the advice! Looks like I’ve got to get more ambitious with the weight loss and working out

Your overall build is pretty good. It looks like it won’t be hard for your body to build muscle.

It really comes down to dieting, like everyone else said.

I agree with the above statements that you need to lose fat at this point, but dieting alone won't do it. I know it didn't for me. If you don't have access to a gym, incorporate burpees, and similar HIIT into your regimen. I downloaded an online kickboxing routine which I also incorporated a few days a week. If you don't have joint issues, and you have access to equipment, do compound lifts, walking lunges, battle ropes, etc. If you can't do walking lunges with any weights, do them without weights to get the mind-muscle connection going, until you can build up to using light weights overhead. These activities, combined with proper diet, helped me to lose approx. 50 pounds.
The biggest thing to keep in mind, is that this is an endurance race for the mind even more than the body. Most people fail because they give up mentally and discouragement sets in. I taped two photos next to each other to my fridge: one of my body at its heaviest, and one of what I considered an ideal body for me. That also helped keep me on track.
