I've had my PA for a couple of years now and through stretching have recently increased the gauges of my jewelry up to a 1 gauge tribal dream ring. I have backed off from that size however and normally wear a 2 gauge circular dumbbell. My problem is that when I have my jewelry in for several days my dick develops a stiff lip around the PA opening. After leaving the jewelry out for a few days the hole will become soft again. I would like to hear from anyone else who has experience this and what if any strategies I might use to be able to leave my jewelry in continuously without developing the hard rim.

I wear a 00ga threaded circular barbell for my PA and yes when I first stretch it up it does get hard around the hole but it goes away in about a week. Mine has been in for a year and when the circular barbell is taken out the hole is always soft and sexually sensitive! I found that to be true of my apadarayva but while it has the hard ring it is very stimulating!!

I recently got a 2g curved barbell...it fits where the lower ball hits the frenulum area. I'm doing restoration, so stretching around it has been interesting...

Any advice on keeping the hole from forming a stiff lip?

I think a good jojoaba oil might keep the skin soft and from getting the stiff lip.

Im up to a 4ga and my experience is spot-on with Buffbaldy's post above.

Also, sometimes I go back to an 8ga or so, wear it for a while, then go back to a 4ga (its not so bad) and when I do I do notice the hardening of the hole but it softens up after a week or so.

I only noticed a hard ring after stretching. I've had my pa at 0ga for over a year now, and the skin around the ring is the same as the rest of the skin around it.

Emu oil is supposed to be the best stuff you can use to soften up skin. It's supposedly loaded with vitamin e and other stuff skin likes.

I wear a 6 and 4 off and on, and have never gotten any kind of stiffening of skin. If you have a urologist, then I'd ask him next time. You'll probably not get any help from a reg doc though. It's been my experience that you could probably teach them about PAs and not the other way around. Let me know if anything helps. I'd like to know in case it happens to me. Thanks!
