This is embarrising, but I was told that LPSG was a place to ask because I'd get good advice and it wasn't just a porn site.

My new boyfriend is big and we had sex a couple of days ago for the first time. He did everything right, lots of 4play, lots of lube, it did hurt, but I was so excited I didn't mind. There was a bit of blood after, but not much, and I wasn't surprised and it didn't bleed for long. Same with the pain up inside, that stopped by the next morning.

But I'm still really sore around the edge. I had a look with a mirror, and I think it might be brused. I have some spots that look like blood blisters.

I had to tell him because I had to say why I didn't want sex again the next day. He's concerned, and said we don't have to do it again until I'm comfortable.

Could I still be bruised two days later? It's REALLY sore. Peeing hurts too. I don't want to go to the dr because it's embarrising. I'm hoping you can just tell me this isn't unusual and it will go away, and give some advice for next time.

    Thanks

No, it's not unusual. It happens. It sounds like you probably need to get used to his girth and you could use some silicone based lube. From my personal experience, length is a bigger problem. You may need to choose positions that limit length and he may need to be more careful about not bottoming out inside you. How sexually experienced is he?

I don't look, so I don't know about bruising, but I've been sore for three days afterwards. You shouldn't have sex again until you've healed. The blistered spots might be areas where friction caused abrasions that have become infected. You can use Bactine to keep the area clean and prevent infection. You can use Vagisil Satin can help with the pain and discomfort.

I would go to the doctor about the blood. Bleeding after sex is one of the first indicators of cervical cancer, so I'd ask for a PAP smear, just in case. Even though you're pretty sure that it was caused by the sex, it's better to know than let it go and worry later on. We've recently lost a young friend to cancer because it wasn't caught in time. I don't think avoiding the doctor is worth the risk.

Thank's the reasurance. I'm scared to do it again, to be honest. I'll see about getting some of the silicone based lube. Is there a particular brand I should ask for?

I've had sore muscles for up to a week with guys who are a little girthy. But as you've had bleeding, you really should go to a doctor, just in case. I know it's embarrassing, but they've seen it all before.

I'd also get an STD test, just in case, too, although I don't think that blisters would appear immediately after sex if it is an STD, but again, it's better to be safe. Here's an article on blisters.

I should say that if you have infected abrasions or any infected cuts, they can take over a week to heal, depending on how bad they are.

I don't have a particular recommendation for you. I usually buy the lubes on sale at my local sex toy shop, so I rarely use the same kind twice.

I've found Pink for women is a great silicone lube. around $12.00 but a little goes a long way.

    Hope it helps!

Lubrication and daily dilation has helped my wife a lot, she has had some spotting of blood on occasion in the past, more uncommon now. She still needs a few days to recuperate even after all this time, but she is unusually tight to the point that if I can get half way in and she starts to orgasm from the vibrator she will push me out as it becomes uncomfortable to have more than just the head of my penis inside her.

    Relaxation
    Vibration
    Lubrication
    Dilation
    Lubrication
    Penetration

Petite has some great tips on dealing with a larger penis, one of her suggestions that helped my wife was to use a dildo that is the size of your lovers penis and to back it out completely if you experience pain and wait a minute before reinserting. Note: Petite was referring to anal sex but the information crosses over to vaginal sex.
