Afraid of having an erection in front of my doctor

You need to consider the doctor to be like yoru car mechanic. You hand you car to the mjechanic to get it fixed. You expect the mechanic to look under the hood and even start the engine to ensure it runs smoothly.

The goal is to fix a problem. The doctor understands that if he handles your engine, it risks "getting started". "Sorry, it does that by itself" is all you need to say, and the doc will say "don't worry about it".

As long as you don't ask the doctor "would you masturbate me to orgasm please" or "could I see your dick too", you will be fine.

If an erection should happen I know that most Doctors are trained to simply say something like: I see that your body functions in a correct manner.

If I were a straight doctor I'd be pissed... xD
A doctor, straight or gay, would not get pissed. They understand the male body and know that involuntary erections are a fact of life, just like sneezing. It's all part of their job and nothing to get pissed about.

I had a female GP poking at my bits a few times recently. If you're anything like me, it won't be getting bigger. Quite the opposite, in fact.

It's really not a sexy experience at all.

Hi,
My first visit to the urologist was at 18 when I had varicocele. Since then I have gone probably 3 more times and now I am 35. I had the same fear, and I did get a little hard (and embarrassed), ; but when you have a old guy fondling your balls and telling you that surgery is needed, your hard-on is the least important part of the scenario. Before I went for surgery and they had to shave all my pubic hair I got hard again, when the nurses would come to check after the operation sometimes I would get hard again... and at some point I did not give a fuck anymore; I would just move my cock out of the way so they could see what they needed to see.. In the end I thought: "I am paying all these people to treat me well and to make me better"; and I was not jacking off or anything offensive.
My advice for you: Chill, go to the doctor, be cool and respectful as a patient, and demand the same from doctors. Chose a gay/gay friendly doctor if you can. In most big cities you can find listings of gay or gay-friendly doctors who are absolutely aware of cock-rings and more.
I also remember that I was not out at the time or even very sexually active; but the doctor gave me a good speech on safe sex that really made a difference at that age. Feel free to PM me if you feel like it.

I also have a varicocele and have been examined by many doctors during routine physical exams. At times I have enlarged, become fully erect, and even leaked precum. Fortunately, I have not ejaculated in front of a doctor. I even had one Asian doctor comment on the size of my penis. I have a big cock and love displaying it especially in a non sexual setting. Doctors have seen it all by now but the important thing is for you to get checked.

I've been told a long time ago by an older brother that doctors sometimes flip a guys head with their finger (gently of course) to cause an erection to go down.
Has anybody heard of that before?

If it's what I think, I'd probably get even harder!

you must cum fast!!! those exams dont last that long

Like I said, my dr is into me so he has taken a LONG time to examine my penis on more than one occasion. I love letting him check me out, so I could care less. My most recent visit (6 mos back), my hand was at my side as I laid face up on the exam table. Well, he got real close so that his crotch was up against my hand and I could feel the heat and firmness of him as he performed his test.

I agree with Countryguy - go see your doc and just give them all the details, they will have heard stuff like this before, I guarantee it. As for getting hard in front of them, they most definately will have seen that before, so don't worry about it.

The more you stress the worse you are going to feel, so bite the bullet and go see them.

Good luck - hope you haven't damaged yourself too bad :)

Well, I'm noticing the ''veins'' on my testicles a little swallen, and I may have varicocele for using cockrings and freeballing a lot, I would ask you guys/gals about it, and you would say ''Go to the doctor!'', well he must need to see my balls, and that would be... arousing, so I wouldnt try it.
anyone?

Doctors and nurses have seen more cock and ball than you have had hot dinners. They also see men very very very occasionally get an erection. In the VERY unlikely event that you do get a boner the doctor will walk away and provide you with the time to sort it out.

Don't worry about it, just get to the doctors

Go to the Dr if you are concerned. If you have a male Dr all the better. Another man will easily understand how sensations can cause erections as I'm sure he has had some of those moments at one time or another too. If your doc is older as opposed to a newbie straight out of med school that will surely mean he has experienced this happening before. If that kinda thing bothers someone - they don't become doctors, seriously. Just act normal, and he might not even say anything and act like nothing is out of the normal. If you seem embarrassed, he'll probably just reassure you that it's totally normal and not to worry.

Well I went back and nothing much happened. I have what seems to be a very small hard bump on my sac (like it is a hair folicle) but dioes not hurt, so I asked about this before he finished up. He had my lay back and he pulled my shorts down, and I felt the spot and pointed it out to him. He felt it and continued for a minute or more feeling all over my balls. He mentioned how smooth it was (I am shaved). He moved my penis to one side then the other and even rubbed along the surface of my shaft a bit, so by then I am completely erect. He commented on that as he has in the past when he's gotten me hard. Well, this really felt great and he did not stop... and then I felt it coming on. I sort of recoiled and let out a gasp, then he said to me "are you goint to ejaculate" and I said yes, at which point he took my penis and masturbated me until I blew all over my abs. Well that was awkward, but this confirms he loves getting me hard and this time he went ahead and gave me a happy ending! This was all w/out gloves as well, and he had no issues getting tissues to clean up the mess. He does blood work, so I'm assuming he knows I am clean.
