Against Your "Type" Crushes

Exactly what the thread title says! Ever develop a crush on a character or a celeb who isn't your type? What is it that did it for you?

The first one that comes to mind for me is Brian Kinney from the American version of Queer as Folk. He's an asshole, but all those hot sex scenes made it impossible not to see him as pure sex on two legs.

Yes, I have, but he's not a celebrity. And I can't even begin to explain what the attraction was. He was an IT manager, but he was nothing close to being a nerd or a geek. He spoke in plain English and truly showed an interest in us learning how the technology worked. He was somewhat attractive, but his personality and mannerisms were off the chart!

I was so embarrassed when the company newsletter came out one month. There was a feature on him and his impromptu classes, and the photo was taken in our department. Everyone is looking at the computer he's demonstrating but I'm the only one looking at him dreamingly! I never heard the end of that. He came around a few weeks later and treated me a little differently, not nearly so friendly. I'm sure he saw the picture and pegged me as a weirdo.

She is attractive and that booty is sexy. I have booty envy.

I don't like it when people body snark on her because they dislike some aspect of her personality. It has an effect on other women who read that kind of thing, like judgmental shrapnel flies off and hits innocent bystanders who just happen to be standing nearby with bodacious curves and fine booties goin', "And what's so wrong with all this?"

figured the "one off" crush is stroking some brain stem deep compulsion. fortunately, the fixations pass quickly.

My newest celebrity crush is Aaron Kaufman from the Discovery Channel show FAST N' LOUD. I usually go for bigger & beefier guys, but Aaron is really doing something for me right now. He's cute, funny and charming. Plus, I got to see him in his underpants last week when he interrupted a photo shoot for the Gas Monkey Garage calendar. That always helps.
