Guys on here http://www.lpsg.org/271503-does-pe-really-works-have.html are expressing distaste at the idea of a 60yo doing PE. I guess that means that some think it isn't acceptable or 'nice' for an older person to have a sex life. So I have to ask: At what age do you think men should stop having sex? And at what age should women give it up?

I never said you should stop having sex. But doing something that might cause injury and has no guarantee of working at the age of 60 is kinda pointless if you ask me.

DR. OZ TALKS SEX WITH JOY BEHAR: INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPT

DR. OZ: ...Sex is important. Being intimate with people you love is what connection is all about.

JOY BEHAR: And if you do it right and if you do it enough, you lose weight.

OZ: Yes. That`s what I think. You know actually, I tell you, there are four centers - four places in the brain where you have absolute cravings. You crave food, you crave water, you sleep and you crave sex. If you don`t have enough of one, you can take more of the other. People who don`t have sex will crave more of the sleep, if they don`t get more of the sleep, they`ll crave more of the food. Over and over again.

BEAHR: Oh that`s interesting. Those four things equal.

OZ: They travel together. You must satisfy all of them. That`s why we ask people take a drink of water before they eat, because you can`t tell the difference between thirst and hunger. They feel the same to you. And people who are not sleeping well will crave carbohydrates because it satiates them.

As long as people want to have sex and are able to it should keep happening. No age restrictions.

Sorry, but this is the stupidest thing I've ever read. Why should sometime stop as long as they are physically able and someone is willing to do it with them?

Well, I agree, but I was curious to know how many don't agree. So far, it seems that nearly 10% of the membership don't agree with us. That's interesting.

Obviously I believe that there's no age at which to stop having sex. But I have heard from some people in their 20's that the idea of people over the age of 50 is kind of repellent.

I was talking to a friend's son after my friend was in a car accident where his pelvis was crushed. The son told me that the doctors said there was a chance of impotence after healing, "not that that will matter to Dad." I expressed surprise because "Dad" was 54 and someone I happen to know is quite sexual. I told the son that I thought his dad would be quite concerned - he's still young and even dating. This 25 year old man expressed shock & surprise as he thought that once someone hits 50, sex is no longer an issue.

I've heard this same view espoused by a few others in their 20s. Perhaps it's because from the age of 20, the 40s, 50s and beyond seem so far away. Maybe they don't realize yet how young one still feels at those ages. Maybe it's all those ED commercials that make it seem like erections are too difficult. I don't know, but it's kind of interesting.

I say when both parties involved can no longer stand to see themselves naked let alone each other.
