Why is it that men, and way the hell too many of them, can't be genuine when describing themselves? It bothers the you-know-what out of me that to be older, shorter, or smaller, it in their minds is an inferior deal-breaker MORE SO than being genuine with what your real age, height, and erect cock size is.

I very much dreaded being 49 a few years ago, because so damn many people claim to be "29", "39", or "49" when they aren't. As far as height goes, it seems as if anyone who claims to be 5' 10" or shorter starts to measure themselves with a 2 inch head start. It's aggravating. Penis length is not something anyone should mislead people with, as that would anger a guy more than those other two falsities, if things progress that far. With that, from my life's experience, I'm seeing about a 1 inch discrepancy in shortness. The measuring tape does not start at the top of the pubic hair, guys.

People don't like to be unseen. Whatever society views as the most attractive people will try to edge themselves as close to that as they think they can get away with. The consequence of a lie pails in comparison to the feeling of getting ignored cause you're too old, too skinny, too fat, too short or dick too small.

I think if people were called out more on this nonsense it would stop.

I know exactly what the person's above are talking about. I am 86 yo. I am 5'7", in my youth I was between 5'9" and 5'9.5". Time and gravity takes its toll. I feel that there is nothing to be gained by falsely reporting. I am however 8.6 inches (22 cm) long erect and 6.6 inches (17 cm) midshaft girth. Several here have called me on what I report. I only report the real measurements. Nothing is to be gained otherwise.

The answer to this is quite simple.

The people who lie are hoping that by the time they turn up or you knock on their door, you are too far committed to reject them.

So on many occasions they get sex with someone who would have said no under normal circumstances.

They wouldn't do it unless it worked for them. It's the same as the guys who say "Hi!" on your profile a million times despite you ignoring them.

Well, I've seen way too many men in my life have some weird, fucked up idea of what it is to be a "real" or attractive man. And it just so happens that those stats they lie about tend to match those ideas of what they feel they're supposed to be.

Whether it's lying about how tall, how fit, how hung, even how "masc" they are...they seem desperate for any kind of approval they can get rather than being real and sharing genuine interest/connection. That's why I don't take anyone's stats seriously anymore and usually only care about their photos. The numbers pretty much mean nothing to me.

Exactly.
We tend to consider the viewpoint of the person who is lied to only. Now let's do an experiment: create an empty profile on a dating platform providing age, height, etc. and see how many people accept to interact. The simple truth is this: having 10 people accept to interact with you instead of 0 is an objective improvement of your chances to get anything in real life.

Is penis size a deal breaker for gay men when the fun parts are just 4 inches away? i.e., within reach of almost any man?

I never lie about age. I've gotten that I look younger than I am AND much older than I am. I lie about height sometimes ... but .... I will usually say I am shorter than I really am. If a woman is willing to date a shorter guy, it usually is a bonus if they see I am a little bit taller. Weird...

I think most every guy exaggerates a little about their member. Then there are a lot of guy who REALLY exaggerate...

I look 10 years younger if I wear a hat, and I never lie about my penis size, because even adding an inch would make me 5''

Funny thing - looking at your verification photo I would have to say that you are nowhere near 8.6" long and, though definitely girthy, likely not 6.6".

I get why this is frustrating.
For those that have asked me on LPSG I have given my real stats… nothing to hide or falsify.
53 years old
5’-10”
160 lbs (bit of a dad bod now, soft around the middle…)
Just a bit over 8” long BP
Just a bit under 8” long NBP
Girth 5.9” at thickest (wish I could get to 6” or more!)
