These images featuring Corey Monteith, someone who died tragically of suicide, are one of the major reasons why there is widespread criticism of AI image generation. For a lot of people, including me, these are the types of things that make AI a bit “icky” - I’m saying that as someone who’s experimented with AI and (living) celebrities to generate fantasy images.

You're not the only person who feels "icky" seeing images of dead celebrities in "sexy" poses via AI creations.

Someone requested photos of Mac Miller not too long ago and while the photos were ultimately somewhat innocent, they still felt crass to me.

I agree with you completely. I don't feel that it is appropriate for deceased people to be depicted in this way. I think it is in poor taste. That's just how I feel about it.
