I think that's the point, AIG won't get the money back by throwing lavish parties. You'd be surprised, people make sales all the time without paying for a party. I went to Wal-Mart the other day, nobody threw a party for me when I bought toilet paper. Every month I pay off credit cards for purchases (for me)/sales (for others) and I'm still waiting for someone to throw a party for me ? I could've sworn the other day when I filled the gas tank up, that afterwards someone would come running out of the store before I drove off and handed me my invitation to a party. Really, I wouldn't mind going to the resort, playing golf or eating well. I can do that the same as the next guy. I wonder how many of these people over at the AIG were/are fucking each other too on our dime ?

AIG needed to be divided up, upper level management should have been fired and escorted out and what other workers remain to continue working. All salaries and wages needed to be reviewed and those that are on the buddy system need to have their payscales cut back to real world incomes. Otherwise this is not going to work, that is, the US Govt/taxpayer getting paid back.

Some of these people need to realize that a lavish vacation isn't the price of doing business/their jobs. They are government employees now.

Being above politics is now a thing of the past for AIG...

Now they're in a scapegoats market. Watch for some attention getting charitable event to assuage public sentiments.
