I'm happy to address this
We have a warning point system. All users get 60 warning points. Each warning is usually 5 to 20 warning points. So generally speaking all users get 3 strikes before they receive a temporary ban. Repeated bans could be a permanent ban.
Nobody is ever just banned. Everyone receives a warning first.
We follow DMCA law which states if a copyright holder contacts us to remove their content we have to remove it. Much like Twitter, Instagram, and youtube if a user posts content that we receive a DMCA for we must issue a warning, and repeat offenders have to be banned. All platforms must do this in order to stay legal by law.
Threads rarely get removed but sometimes they do and usually it's because we are trying to calm a very bad situation down.
