I've always suspected that the formation of precum is chemically determined rather than physically. Since one of its functions is to reduce the acidity of the urethra and vagina it's possible that a lower-than-normal pH will call for more of it.

Have you changed your diet lately to something more acidic? It's possible that your increased precum is combating that.
