They say it’s not sexually transmitted, that it’s mostly spread via contact, which makes me think that it’s more prevalent in the gay community because of the hook up culture and because gay men are much more likely to be in open relationships. I know slut-shaming is frowned upon in our community, but let’s face it, a lot of gay men are sluts lol Also, I’ve read that STIs in general are on the rise among gay men because so many have stopped wearing condoms since PreP/Truvada became available.
