Hmmm, I'm curious. For those of you who tend to post quite a bit each day, I'm curious as to how you all manage to do that. I just read the top 10 posters for today, and when I see people who managed to post ten, twenty, or thirty entries a day, I'm a bit baffled. Where do you all find the time? :D Or, seriously, what motivates you to participate so much?

I used to post more. It seems that the subject matter is more lame these days and there is less opportunity for repartee.

Or much that approaches intelligent conversation.

Pecker -- I agree, but I think it tends to go in phases. On the whole my idea is to look for threads in which I can make some sort of useful contribution. Like London buses, there are none for ages, and then they all seem to come at once.

So I don't post for weeks, then it seems to take far too much of my time and attention over a short period.

Until the fall semester begins, I'm at home for most of the day. I'll probably slow down on posting once I begin teaching. For now, being here and elsewhere on the net are relief from boredom.

I didnt have a computer at home for almost 9 months (long story, anyway...)
    I am back online now,
and trying to catch up with old pals,
    and LPSG-ers.
I also have a computer I can check at work, now,
    so, I'm computer-aholic right now.
    :)

This is good to see, Pecker, because my posting has tumbled considerably in the last couple of weeks. I had begun to wonder about my being so selective in replying these days. I used to post 5 or 6 on lots of days, but now I don't get in that many in a week! Oh, well, like Max said -- maybe they're like London buses and things pick up from time to time.

    Luke :)
