Always retaliate?

I usually only respond to something if there's a point to what I'm going to say. If someone had said something in the hopes of getting a reaction from me, I usually ignore it - by replying all you are doing is giving them more ammunition. I've been told I'm very difficult to argue with, because I don't rise to bait most of the time.

I rarely retaliate to personal attacks, and if I do, it is in a way to achieve a specific outcome.

My ex brother in law is currently putting my sister through hell. I have stayed out of their business for a long time, but recently he has stepped over the line. I can honestly say that I have never hated any person in my life before. I suppose there has to be a first time in most peoples lives. My retaliation, however is thought out and has specific outcomes and is done with her knowlege and approval.

I’ve only got so much energy in me and I’m not going to waste it on some jerk, I just as soon use it helping someone, like volunteering at a local library. Positive for Negative
