Am I the last cut guy in the world?

My gym has about 50-50 guys who shower, don't shower, hold towels up, or let it hang. I don't hang out looking at everyone, but sometimes you just notice things, especially when you're on the bench in the sauna and guys who are 6'4 and up walk in naked, and you see things that you just can't ordinarily miss because it's right at eye level.

Well, while there are quite a few african-americans and Latinos, both of which groups have a lower circumcision rate than whites, lately I've noticed that most of the white guys are uncut as well. Lucky them. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just that the uncut guys are prouder of their penises and thus willing to show them off? Am I looking for it and seeing foreskin everwhere smile when I shouldn't necessarily be seeing it?

I think it really depends in the geographical area you live in. In Texas it used to be predominately practiced among White (Anglo's?? not sure how to group them correctly) at a 90% or greater. This was in the late 70's and 80's as I was growing in up. When I entered the Navy, I saw it varied quite a bit more. Now as I returned back to my home state and visit my local gym, from the few guys under 25 that dare be seen naked at the showers, the circumcision rate among the Whites has dropped to 50-50.

Strangely enough among Hispanics (or Mexican-Americans) the circumcision rate has increased quite a bit among the 25 and under. I work in the medical industry and I hate to say this (not to offend) but the city I live in has a lot of Medicaid among the Hispanics. This is an easy money maker for pedi docs which scrap around trying to make money since a good portion of their patient base are on Medicaid.

i havent been to a gym since HS but all of the guys were cut, save for 2, and they were brothers, biological brothers not black guys lol

Most are uncut at my gym too. I think the circumcision stats are inflated. I have travelled all over the US and have been in gyms all over too and foreskins have always been observed.

To answer the topic originator's question. You are not the last cut guy in the world. Some religions require it.

No matter your status, I think the most important consideration is to enjoy what you have and appreciate what you do have. Life should always be fun.

Of course you aren't the only circumcised guy out there dude! One in four guys in the world is circumcised so that's a lot of cut guys! Chill!

Most guys I see in the gym are cut. Only a few latin guys are uncut but that's all. I really don't think you're the last cut guy in town!

I'm not seeing as many dicks (other than in pictures!) since I moved away from a large city and quit going to bars. However the few I've had an opportunity to see since at urinals, most were cut and of all ages.

I STILL THINK WE NEED A DEDICATED THREAD ON CIRCUMCISION!

Circumcision is not covered by Medicaid in any of the western states, so no, it's not free. Any other parts of his or her body you'd have cut off if it was free?

I went to a gym recently and the rules were that all males were to go in the sauna naked, w/o their towels. I was surprised to see how many guys were circumsized. Ironically, most of these men were naked white men with nothing to gain from their nudity but embarrassment

Do it when he's old enough to decide on his own whether or not he even wants it done and anesthetic can be used. Cutting off the foreskin without anesthetia is like removing your tonsils and/or appendix without putting you under first.

Coming from a totally different generation, where people put Doctors on pedestools very close to God, my parents did what they were told was in their best interest and I don't therefore, hold it against them (even though at one time long ago, I did). :smile:

Still, I have practiced for years to stretch following urination as well as during masturbation (even though I know that the essential nerves are long gone, never to return) to the point that the skin is flexible enough to cover the head but alas, when left alone, it cannot overcome my huge corona.

Although the corona is still sensitive, it certainly is not as sensitive as it was years ago so I will probably pull and tug for the rest of my life. What the hell, it's fun! :biggrin1:

I don't think the observations are anything to do with shyness/confidence but more how many are out there. In New Zealand it was close to 100% with my Dad's age, 50% with me and now zilch. So what you see reflects the general trend not confidence/shyness.

In the US, I think it was back in the early 80s when the state and most insurance companies started classifying circumcisions as cosmetic so they weren't paid as they were in the past .Quite a few people opted not to have it done if they had to pay for it so there are more foreskins in the younger age groups. Also, I've heard that now the hospitals want the babies to come back after a few months for a circumcision, not sure why. Possibly people get used to the foreskin hanging around and may decide not to get it cut, especially with the 150.00 or more cost involved.

I'm cut since birth due to medical reasons and was always the only cut guy in my primary classes and later, in the gyms and sport clubs. Here being uncut was the standard for all guys and it was a mental challenge to shower with my class mates. Always got a lot of looks at my free glans...

Today, i see an increasing trend for beging cut at any ages overhere; and feels good not to be so unique anymore!

You need to consider age groups. Are younger ones uncut and older ones cut? Or uncuts in all age groups? You could be going to a gym with a high mix of european immigrants for instance, If the uncuts are younger only, then they would be the result of the uncut generation (anti circers getting parents to leave sons with foreskins).
