Well, good on yer all, is what I say. Glad you're happy. Don't like the implication, though, from some that circ is 'cleaner' and therefore uncirc must be less clean and even unpleasant. Ever heard of the shower and soap and water? I'm very glad I'm not circ'd, for these reasons:
> If we were meant to have no foreskin would we not have developed that way? Do we mutilate any other part of our body to 'improve' it?
> I like the variety - both of look and action. My foreskin retracts fully on erection - so I can have a 'circumcised' look automatically, but the presence of that extra covering gives a much better (and varied) wanking routine; and the glans has to be more sensitive.
> OK, you may say this is cheating a bit, but the foreskin can give that impression of extra fullness and length when flaccid - which can't be bad! After all, nothing has been added, but the circumcised have certainly had something taken away.

I'll get in trouble from SteveHD for this... oh well.

Shoot me for being concilliatory.

My father was uncut (which was unusual for Australia in 1945), my mother was opposed to it, my father obviously had no problems with my being left alone.

I am opposed to RIC - I think it is a choice for a person to make about themselves for themselves. After seeing an infant circumcision, I'm even more opposed to it.

Having said that, I don't think there's anything wrong with being cut at all. If you've never had problems - then good for you. Of course, the idea of sensation is something to note. If you're uncut - you certainly don't feel odd, or that something's in the way, or that you're always wearing a condom. But for many of us uncuts, the idea of feeling sensation against the head all the time - would be incredibly uncomfortable.

If you've made the decision for personal or aesthetic reasons... if you're old enough to decide for yourself... go nuts. Obviously if it's needed for medical reasons, of course (although my urologist did say that in about 60% of cases - it was the wrong surgery).

I don't think for a second that cut guys should be made to feel incomplete or defective - but I think the (American) belief that uncut guys have cleanliness issues is equally wrong. It's a 5-second three step procedure in the shower. Retract skin - allow water to run over - push skin back over. Done. If that's too arduous a task, then I wouldn't suggest attempting to drive. Of course there's going to be more a smell from the area, but it's like going down on a woman - are you going to ask her to cut open her labia to allow things to dry out to avoid any possible scent? I think not.

I am circumcised and love it. Glad it was done when I was an infant so that I have no recollection of it. The circumcised cock looks much better and tends to be cleaner. I tend to avoid uncircumcised dicks for that reason.

I remember being a kid and seeing a very old man at the Y who was not circumcised and thinking something was wrong with it. My dad explained it to me. Now, however, as a Sophisticated Man of the World with more experience under my belt (an unintentional pun), uncircumcised penises do not disturb me. I respect to my sexual attraction to someone, it is a non-issue. I have had sex with a number of uncircumcised men; with the exception of one, all were European. The romps were all enjoyable. Nonetheless, I am glad that I am circumcised. True, it is something that it is peculiar to modern-day American culture (and perhaps other counties also -- I do not know) but in my place and time, being circumcised is by far and away the norm. In this aspect of my penis, I am inclined to prefer being in the company of the vast majority. If I were to have a son, I suspect that I would want to have him circumcised, but I am not completely sure. I would have to think about it.

There seems to be hardly anyone around who prefers being circumcised.

Actually, I'd venture to say that the vast majority of men (both cut and uncut) don't give a second thought to their foreskin or lack thereof. It just is (or isn't, as the case may be), and always has been.

It is largely a handful of unnecessarily vocal runaways from therapy who create the misperception of wider spread discontent. Such is usually the case with fanatical fringe elements...they seek validation of their insecurities by attempting to force their issues onto everyone else.

You've exactly defined the circumfetishists! I'm glad you recognize that infant body modification is a sick and twisted practice.

Well said. Nice to hear from another fellow Texan.

I wish that I was uncut. I feel like there would be more sensation. I don't think that it is right that parents are allowed to make this decision for their children. Female circumcision is something that is looked at as horrible. While, male circumcision may not be as harsh, I still don't understand why it is acceptable. If you want to cut your penis and make it less sensitive, that should be your choice when you are an adult, not an infant. If I ever do have a son, I will not circumcise him.

Unless you wish to deal with stretching etc etc... why worry.
You can restore a lot of sensitivity without stretching anything. Just take the skin you have left and roll it forward over the glans while flaccid and wear it that way 24/7. Use an o-ring, a Your-Skin Cone, or a tape ring to retain it.

Circ is down to about even-steven (in the States) now. There's a very good chance that your son will not feel the way you do. I think a lot of cut men can't stand the sight of a normal penis, even on their own offspring. As you are not in that group, think good and hard.

Some days you just make me so wet.

As I've said before, mine's "trimmed". It's right in the middle, so people are never sure if I'm cut, or uncut. I love it that way, but I'd consider having more taken off, if I thought it'd make the anti-circ crowd's heads explode. Attraction-wise, I don't care if someone is cut or uncut. If that tiny percentage of skin is the make/break point about someone, there are obviously MUCH more grave issues. Actually, if that was the point that I brought up as the reason, it'd mean that I was really grasping. I don't give any thought to myself being cut, or uncut, and I don't really care which way others are either.

Quit sucking up to Hazelgod.
Obviously, you've ignored that there are plenty of other things we disagree on.

Meanwhile there's that pesky element of choice.
Again, personally, yet one more decision I'm glad I haven't had to make. I didn't choose the name my parents gave me either, yet I don't rant on how deeply they've scarred me by taking that choice away from me. I should've been Baby Doe, until such time that I reached a reasonable age, and got to pick my own. No, I shouldn't have been address by anything, at least until age 12. Not, John Doe, not even, "hey, you!" People should have had to get my attention by physically walking up to me, and standing in front of me, using nothing identifiable as a label. Instead, I was scarred. I was labeled. My whole being has been molded by a label that I had no choice in taking. I'll forever hate my parents and society for this choice-less indignity.
