I am 100% American with German and French in my background.
I love the British and your sense of humor .
Benny Hill and Monty .ython are 2 of my favorite shows.
the thing I never understood is why you call an umbrella a bumbershoot

Articulated lorry. It's the most unmasculine phrase for a very masculine vehicle.

Can you imagine this guy saying, "Hey you! Get yer fuckin' hands off my fuckin' articulated lorry!"

I love the way my friends mom says whore. It's like a whole different word, cause it has two syllables. Kinda like whoo-oore, but the r and eare almost silent.

My very close American friend says I pronounce 'about' like, 'aboot'. How cliché .

Thing is though as an English girl (profile may say otherwise, haven't altered any of it yet) "Bum" to me means your ass. I've never heard anyone over here call a hobo a bum....odd

I got news for you....we 'mericans say ALL the words....
That's how we communicate, ya know.
Just most of the time...we don't know what they mean.
