If you're a single parent, it's a lot better for your kid if you get your perv out online while you're safe at home than it is to be out at a bar or club every night while you leave your kids with someone else. One is relatively anonymous here and the community is generally safe. For many parents, me included, online communities are some of the only interaction with people we get other than our children. It's almost immaterial whether the subject is XXX or G rated. After all, as I've said before, EVERYONE has a sex life and a private life that they keep away from their kids. I don't see it being any different online or otherwise, except that you're much less likely to be found out on the internet if you're careful about it.

At any rate, I am still waiting for lisasdong to explain its position so we can at least discuss the issues involved rather than being condescended at.

Sure I had my own notions about it, but rather than jump to conclusions I asked a few times what you meant when you said removing the photos would be doing right by the woman's son. You said he needed protection, and that removing the photos would protect him. Some of us do not understand how that could be.

I can explain my position. Can you explain yours? If you can't, it's almost certainly purely bullshit with which you've been indoctrinated. Yes, a good friend of mine plays RPG's such as Hero Clicks, Mage, Magic the Gathering and others for escape. Every Friday night, for four hours, she leaves her children with her fiance so she can interact with some adults away from children. Other than that, she goes to work (she's very isolated at work) she comes home, and then scoots the kids off to their extra-curriculars before it's off to bed to do it all again the next day. Her children don't know where she is or what she's up to on Friday nights. They only know she's not home at bedtime. Nothing else is any of their business. It's like this for all adults.

I disagree entirely. I think you would be well advised to do the right thing by your son and at the very least remove the pics other than your face. The idealized notions of liberty as expressed by others here has very little to do with the weakness, imperfection, and compromises evident in real human beings, and you have a little one who needs to be protected, first, as he grows and learns. Your absolute liberty took a back seat the moment you became a mother.

I got an email from someone annonamously from a mom's group I have belonged to for over 6 years. They are completely disgusted with the fact I have pics here and such. My reply was that the pics were my business, I do not sell them or myself (as I have never met anyone from this board).
