The Trump administration just downgraded the diplomatic status of the EU mission.

Usually this is a sign of political disrespect and used as a tool of punishment. Anyway, if a nation is willing to use such a tool they will tell the other nation that such a downgrade will happen soon. The Trump administration hasn't even done this...

How can Trump expect anything good from such behaviour?

Trump administration downgrades EU mission to US

My one hope is that other nations know Trump is temporary, and are willing to be patient with us until he's gone.

On the other hand, they know we elected him, so why should they trust us not to do something similarly horrible in the future?

A lot of Europeans will love him for this. Who doesn’t enjoy seeing bullies getting bitch slapped?

Is this as bad as the scandalous 2 scoops of ice cream for y’all?
I guess only the British.

At the end, every time Trump tries to humiliate the EU he does it with every EU member. Therefore every European should see Trump as an enemy.

I would say the ice and the downgrade are at the same level, at least when it's about his personality.

all members of the EU administration are professionals, just like their US colleges.
That's why I would say the 8 years of Trump won't hurt much...
But maybe, if Trump keeps on bullying it might come with a price (but only if the Europeans start growing balls)

You seem to be forgetting about the other European countries that are treated like crap by the EU! I’m pretty sure it’s the EU that started this with the USA.

Like what nation?

You have any evidence to prove your claim that the EU started the trouble with the USA?

Don’t you remember their reaction when he won?
the reaction of whom?
Give me one example that shows a negative response to his election... btw what do comments of national leader have to do with the EU? (It's Trump who hates the EU and that's why he attacks the EU. Like he said, he never would negotiate with the EU but this every single nation... He failed)

Anyway... It was Trump during his campaign who attacked various nations and their leaders. I remember him talking, insulting and lie about Germany and Merkel. Interesting is, that Merkel never said a negative word about Trump... so, Trump started ;)
Greece, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Britain and there’s a lot of Europeans in all the EU states that are unhappy with the EU.
So now you talk about people who are unhappy with the EU... I thought you would name examples where the EU treated other nations like crap?

And Merkel didn’t deserve it? She told the world to come to Europe and everyone needs to take in her guests and pay for them while Greece is struggling she only tightened the noose around their necks while the EU dishes out EU member states money to non EU member states.

Sorry, but this post shows how little you know...

1. Merkel never invited anyone... I already wrote several very long posts about it. Maybe you search for them. To make it short: hungary made clear they would close their boarders, if Germany wouldn't let them in. (Around 20.000 refugees at the Budapest main station) - Merkel accepted to let them in.

2. You mentioned Greece - nice that you did it in a post where you talk about refugees as well. If Germany would have closed its boarders right at the beginning around 200.000 people were stuck at the Balkan and another 300.000 in Greece... not even talking about everyone who came during the summer.
Greece and the Balkan (the poorest area in Europe) would have massively suffered under around 1 million people who have no where to go. This could have had the potential to destabilise the area.

So, if you really care about Greece you should kiss Merkel's feeds.

3. Back the the original point you made about EU/Greece... While you talk about "A noose around the neck of Greece" you miss what the EU has done for Greece.
At first they managed a debt cut, next they bought up the Greek debts and made sure that Greece doesn't has to pay anything back and later only to low interest rates - something the EU treaties should prevent. You know, no nation should pay for the debts of others... we still did. How kind from us ;)
Now look how the world bank treats nations who seek for help... they don't get that much support, but have to do way more heavy reforms. And this under control of the USA - oh how shocking

4. You talk about members money spend for non member nations... whom exactly? And if, what would be bad about supporting others? Even more so that every member state has to agree to the budget. If they don't like such support why do they agree to it?

As it looks like you are only able to write some general allegations, mixed with barely any knowledge and the will to attack others, no matter what. - till now you couldn't name a single example and/or source.

Just the statement "Merkel deserved to get insulted" shows of what kind of value your posts are.

Greece has struggled forever, both in and out of the EU. The only difference is they no longer control their currency, and can't devalue it to encourage tourism like they did pre-EU. You're spewing right wing rhetoric with any knowledge of the actual facts.
