for some reason, i always thought people mostly looked down on meeting people on craigslist. it's interesting to see how many people have experiences on there. i've met a handful of people on there, and you come across some very interesting people.
things that people have mentioned thus far are so true! i always have to wonder about the people who don't display pics, but demand them... do they really think they're going to get positive responses?? then you have the fakes out there who either just collect pics or set up things with no intentions of following thru. you gotta love the ones who don't pay attention to the ad and ask you the same questions you've already answered. i tend to get the people who are nothing close to the description you want... most of the time being much older. when i say under 35, that does not mean 58! haha. and let's not forget the creepers.... you can post an ad, and that same person you've been ignoring is the first one to respond. the funny thing about that is half the time, they don't even realize that you're the same person they've been pursuing. some of the people you come across on there just make you shake your head....
craigslist can be good for laughs tho. the crossdressers always make me laugh, and some of the fetishes people talk about. as far as what lookingcurious mentioned, people should know that those ads about being generous or meeting at a certain location at a certain time are foolishly suspicious.
one of the biggest hesitations and most unsettling thoughts for me is the idea of finding someone who has some sort of disease. fortunately that hasn't happened, thank the lord, but it's something you have to think about and be careful about. twice have i come across people who expressed interest, but decided to tell me that they had something (and wanting to do only certain things). it's nice that there are still honest people, but it's crazy to think of how many people who willing seek out people on sites like that when they know they have diseases.
craigslist has its quirks tho, and you have to decipher what's real and what's not, but occasionally, you meet some nice people to hang out with or maybe mess around with. interesting thread guys....
