Porn doesnt cause men to go on sexual rampages any more or less than women. Porn doesnt cause anyone to go on sexual rampages. The repression of natural curiosities and desires causes people to go on sexual rampages. I believe that a porn store would allow people to have an outlet. That's like saying that there are orgies at nudist resorts simply because of non-sexual nudity. Almost like the belief that if we see tits or an ass on TV, then there would be mass screwing in the streets. I'm neither pro-porn or anti-porn, but it really depends on the individual. Someone who commits a sexual assult could still gonna end up raping someone if they have a porn store or not.

There is such a thing in this country as Freedom of Speech and the porn story falls under that category. However, many in this country are also a bunch of hypocrites who believe that this freedom only belongs to them so if it does not fall within their belief system it should not be allowed.

Unfortunately that is not the case horneyoldguy. The U.S. Supreme Court has consistently ruled porn is something which the government can regulate and it is not entitled to free speech protection.

While the court did not fully rule in favor it also did not really rule against - they are unwilling to take a stand for or against pron as free speech they just let the law against it die. Anyway, back to the subject matter. I don't mind porn. I don't have any problems with adult bookstores. I don't think that porn inspires men to do crazy shit to other people.

I do believe that if men were doing insane things to others--those men had those tendencies in their mind already. There are men out there that are predatorial and sociopathic. And I doubt that porn is responsible for those men's actions. Every man makes a choice in their behavior.

As a person who is pro-porn, would you really join an anti-porn crusade to stop an Adult Video Store doing business in your neighborhood?

Yes I do …. don’t have to drive to get some, and btw there is few “porn” Adult stores in San Diego .. but the city had cracked down on those because the issue of sexual activity in those even though is consider a privet property, and sexual activity around those stores, but mostly gay man, bi, and a lot of straight curious man, never seeing a female on the booths, only glory holes ..
I never heir assaults on woman here …
and if anyone have a problem with sex stores in their neigbour hood they should direct their concerns to their local congressman/woman or city consul .

The people who are against porn are the ones who say they can't be alone with people of the opposite sex. Because they cannot control their carnal instincts. I remember Mike Pence saying that he would never dine alone with another woman. It's completely absurd.

I just don't want some sex shop in my neighborhood becuase it could potentially lower my property value. Those places should be in commercial not residential districts. If they were to legalize prostitution then we could have red light districts where you can have these type of activities. But no...there is that element in society that can't tolerate such things.

well said @elklindoxxx … sex shops are strategically zoned, at list in Southern California, first; in Comercial zoning, not residencial, and certain miles away from school's, Hospitals, and places of worship.
I’ve never seeing one in the Suburbs ..
and thank good for sex shops they are an outlet for usually man to release their sexual tensions and urges, that reduced the sexual assaults, and criminal activity related with sexual activity.
