Especially if you like playing disco, jazz, and funk-style bass lines. Hehe!
I play bass, but it's straight-up rock and roll.
Yes, but not disco haha
Yes for funk and jazz. Mostly rock though. Fretted and fretless, four and five string, electric and acoustic. Higher consciousness through lower frequencies. Yeah.
Bass guitar is so sexy. I wish to be a left-handed bass player someday before I die. I've had it with those high registers.
It would figure that all the guys that have posted so far are straight. LOL One thing I forgot to mention (actually chose NOT to mention since I thought it may offend someone) was I was hoping only to hear from gay and bi guys. Guess the cat's out of the bag now! LOL Hope everyone's cool with that. Straight guys: if you play the bass, continue to post on this site anyway, since it wouldn't be fair if I told you you can't. LOL!
I do an excellent rendition of "The Trooper", by the way. I suspect you knew that. :biggrin1:
So, do you think Victor Wooten might be on here?
I don't get the opportunity to play bass that often, but I enjoy the hell out of it when I do.
I dabble. I enjoy it. I prefer the louder, aggro stuff, like Metallica, Misfits, Sabbath, etc. I do enjoy some Floyd + stuff in that vein.
I'm curious as to what difference you think sexuality makes to playing bass?
But I do see one of life's big lessons on display here - you will never get what you want until you learn to ask for it specifically.
I don't want to explain it. I don't feel like it. LOL
I'm a bass player.
Strictly rock/pop though.
Oi, I myself play the bass guitar as well, a variety of different genres, but unfortunately for the poster... prefer womenfolk. But forget that guitar thing, a bass is longer, thicker, can go deeper... Y'know, all those things this site appreciates.
Lowender here...into jazz, funk, blues
