Whilst sorting out all my vast collections of CD's i came across all my Kate Bush collections, i was a big fan, i started to listen again and realised how much i had missed her music. Anybody remember or like Kate Bush?, any songs come to mind?

I was never a big fan but I love a few of her songs. I was just listening to Cloudbusting on my iTunes a seconds before I saw this thread. I also love the "this Woman's Work" video, it is heartbreaking and beautiful. I didn't even know of that song until this past year one of the TV dramas had it in a commercial.

Running Up that Hill is my favorite song of hers.

*Don't Give Up*, *Them Heavy People* just hit you in the soft spots.

Running Up that hill was my introduction to Kate Bush but it was songs like Experiment IV, Under Ice and Mother Stands For Comfort that got me hooked.

I remember reading that her distinctive voice is due in part to her being partially deaf.

Wow! (no pun intended) I just love love LOVE Kate Bush! I know there are fan forums on the internet, but I never thought I'd find one here! "Hammer Horror" is one of my (many) favourite KB songs. She made some amazing videoclips as well, I just wish she'd release them on DVD! I found a great fan-made DVD on eBay but being unofficial, the audio and picture quality was variable. But a bootleg is better than nothing, I suppose.

Anyhoo, here are some more fave songs:
Hounds of Love
The Sensual World
Ran-tan Waltz
Moments of Pleasure
Never Be Mine
Night of the Swallow
The Wedding List
Violin
Moving
and of course...Wuthering Heights

I'll stop my list there - I don't want to monopolize the thread.

I liked her manic energy and her undeniable talent. I imagined she would have a huge red bush and be great in bed. When you listen to that disc, you won't think what the hell you were thinking when you bought it, and that is kind of nice.

Well my mother was a huge Kate Bush fan so I was raised on her music. Always playing in the house. This is a woman who truly controls every tiny aspect of her output. Always has done.

Unlike most other big female artists who rely very heavily on working with the hottest producers of the day to create their sound Kate always just does her own thing. Never compromises her sound for commercial success. She doesn't give a fuck about fame; actually seems to despise it. Which is a shame because Id love to see more of her out there.

I love everything she does but a few faves are;

Hounds of love.
Running up that hill.
Don't give up.
Wuthering heights.

but my absolute favourite for it's gorgeous simplicity is..

The man with the child in his eyes.

Right now, Kate Bush is raising a family of her own. Didn't she recently did a song for The Golden Compass, if my memory is correct?
