    or just people who love playing instruments, as bad as we may be? :smile: I love playing guitar and piano, and I can't imagine my life without it. Anyone else?

    Classically trained musician here. I play woodwinds and brasses and piano, and a few assorted others.

    sweet - knew there were a few of you out there - Skull Mason, you look like a lead singer/frontman for some reason. I play guitar, a lot of metal, Pantera, old Van Halen, southern rock, anything that I know will kick ass. Also studied classical piano for a number of years. Matt Koko - don't worry, you're not alone!! I write songs on guitar and can't sing for shit, although I'm really working at improving my voice. That's cool, DC Deep, sounds like you're a pretty well-rounded musician. I also play drums a little too, but that's mostly during band rehearsals, during break, when our drummer's out havin' a smoke. haha!!!

    I have several instruments, and play them all badly. My singing voice sounds like somebody's trying to make wine from a vat of overfed frogs.

    I compensate by having some really nice condenser mics and a DAW to record it all with.

    Anybody can suck and still get on myspace, and that includes ME!

    aw, FUKK YEAH!!! Ah, close enough, sorry dude - thought you looked like a frontman, but guitarists, that's even better, bro!!!! That's really one of the reasons I started playing guitar - EVH, man. Get a great rhythm sound outta my Mesa Boogie dual rectifier!!!

    I knew it! I knew from your screenname you had to be a musician. (Great band, btw...howsabout a new album, fellas?)

    As for me, I play bass. I've had 3 bands and released 4(plus) CDs, to varying success, on independent labels over the last 8 years or so. We just released our latest album in Dec and it KILLS me that I can't let y'all hear it!! (Well, I won't put anything identifiable out to the public, but maybe if you asked me really nice I could send you a couple tunes)

    Don't ask me what kind of music it is; I don't know!! I always just call it "rock," but we seriously go from Alice in Chains-y "grunge" to Sepultura-esque "metal" to Isley Bro.s-style "funk" in the course of three songs. (Ironically, our biggest detraction -- everyone likes one of our styles and wants us to just stick with that).

    Anyways....done any recording yourself, Mr.Bungle?

    heheh - so the name tipped you off, huh? :smile: been a huge fan of them for a while. Their Disco Volante album gets a TON of play in my stereo.. I'm in 2 bands right now, a prog-metal-ish type band (only demos recorded for our myspace), but the band is dying pretty fast, we need a lead singer and bass player, and those are impossible to find in this area.. acutally off to a so-called rehearsal in a couple minutes, so pardon me for not responding to whatever response you might throw my way. I'm also in a cover band as a side project, mainly 90s alt-rock, some metal, and current hits, but that's pretty much my MAIN project right now. We just recorded 3 tunes to put up onto our myspace just for club owners and booking agents, and it's so much fun, these 4 guys are the best musicians I've ever played with so far. Love to hear some of your tunes, it'd be cool to have an LPSG band - what would we call ourselves? Food for thought.. :smile:

    I have a Carvin jumbo body six string, an old, very assertive sounding Alvarez 12 string, both acoustic, a Deluxe Powerhouse Strat, a Jazz bass, and various small amplification devices. I like the sound of the smaller stuff better, except for bass gear. I need a bass rig but have no place to put it. I'm looking at Aguilar stuff, but it costs the earth, so it'll be a while before I get any. I'll play through my little Bassman FTB. I also have a midi keyboard I use in my studio to make obnoxious noises, mostly interplanetary farting whines.

    I hack around on the geetar and mandolin.....and I sing. I've played a few gigs here and there. I have some vids of me playing on youtube under another pseudonym.
