Yarr, quite a big PC gamer here, been playing a bit less lately because of work though. Currently playing Far Cry 2 and Red Alert 3 and just finished Fallout 3.

Guilty.

Single-player stuff for me, mostly...FPS tend to be my faves, but I enjoyed the Max Payne duo and the Prince of Persia trilogy immensely.

The exception to my solo play is CounterStrike. Yes, I know it's ten years old at this point, but I still love it.

I play PC and PS3, but been taking a break from the PC (just kept piling papers on the keyboard), but just turned it on I might finish Mass Effect. I'm not really big on MMO's.

playing pc games does not make you a geek, at the moment I am playing Lego Batman and Cyrsis, shadow run and lost planet are still on my pc but I don't have the interest in finishing them at this time. Black and White 2 and Shadow Run are also on my machine at the moment. I have the latest Spiderman game to install next.

Max Payne was great fun, I have been thinking about revisiting it. Likewise with CounterStrike...

In Istanbul, five years ago, there was a five story building in The Levent district, totally dedicated to people playing CS. I think it's gone now due to the advent of boardband internet. It was quite the scene.

Competitively, yes, though I eased up a great deal when I passed by a golden opportunity a few years ago. Depending on how the tanking of CPL/WSVG/CGS affects the scene longterm, I intend to return when I have the finances.

There are relatively few games that really take my interest whilst playing by myself. I still have fun with Baldur's Gate, Civ2 and RotTK.

I can enjoy MMO's, but have a general dislike for games that have such a strong correlation between time spent playing and in-game success.

Bingo...this goes a long way toward explaining my enduring love of CounterStrike...I can always log on for 15 minutes, play several rounds of dust or assault, killing the crap out of people in the process, then log off and be done with it. No bother with gaining experience or seniority or any of that shit.

Played Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, WoW (pre-WoTLK), Call of Duty 4, and FEAR.

Currently not playing any... but as you can see I am mostly into FPS.

Edit: And CounterStrike, and Warcraft II, Warcraft III

Yeah, I've had loads of fun with Crysis and Crysis:Warhead.

That nanosuit is the shit.
I have Crysis but for some reason I just couldn't get used to the nanosuit. I am much more into homing my skills with the weapon at hand and the maps, not having to switch my character's ability around to help me play.

I guess I need to spend more than an hour playing it though, lol.

World of Warcraft - though I'm taking time off right now, but have 5 lvl 70s
That is quite a bit there Kot....

I only had one level 70.... gnome warlock, destruction affliction.

With that said, I have a friend that has about 8 characters. He almost isn't a friend anymore because he plays so much. Which is why I quit playing myself.

Star Wars Galaxies (US server) - 2 traders, 1 Ent, and a Jedi

Wow you're still playing SWG? I was in the very early stages of beta testing, I think I lasted 6 months after it was released. Too many headaches, well that and running missions over and over that had nothing to do with a storyline kinda killed it for me.

I stopped playing WoW the week BC came out, my Rogue made Warlord and I was spent from all the time put in, took a break and never made it back lol.

Yeah that's why my first love is FPS games. You can play as long or as short as you want with no real difference. However, the social aspect of MMOs always drags me in. A decent size group of us, real life friends and those online, have been playing together for 8 years +. So we use it as a way to hang out and talk on Ventrilo etc.

I still fire up BF2142 once in a while, I'm very much the tank whore in that game lol.

Here is my current gaming rig....
