Wellbutrin for me was almost like the mythical "spanish fly." I take Paxil and have a hard time having an orgasm via sex. My doctor actually gave me Wellbutrin to stop smoking, but OMG did it have a totaly different affect. It was so bad all I could think about was sex non-stop. I couldn't concentrate on work or anything!! I had no "outlet" for my insane sex drive so it was torture. After a week of this, I had to stop taking it.

I tried it again another time, same thing. I have several girlfriends who have taken it and they all say it really revs up their sex drive dramatically. Maybe not to the extreme it did me, but a big difference.

My doctor said if someone is taking an antidepressant that kills their sex drive, this can be prescribed in addition to the other to offset that problem. Of course, this won't work for EVERYONE, but it's known as being one of the few antidepressants that won't kill your sex drive.

I have this same effect on women

Once i got that under control, i discovered i had high blood pressure. This can affect a mans ability to get an erection. Apparently it was making me sexually dysfunctional too, as far as orgasm goes.

I got on a beta blocker for the high blood pressure and trying to get to an orgasm went from atleast 30 minutes of intense masturbation to about 3 minutes tops when i try. I can tell when i have forgotten to take it prior to wanting to orgasm.

If memory serves me right (and it rarely does), I think cialis was originally developed to lower blood pressure. So it makes logical sense that the two are intertwined. It'd be an interesting experiment to see what the effect on you would be. Not that I'd encourage anyone experiment with drugs.

Ok, maybe just a bit.

Interesting confirmation. I take medicine for high blood pressure and it has certainly not helped my erections. When I started taking cialis, I found that it seemed to lower my blood pressure as well as give me a couple of days of easy erections, the best of both worlds. I'm even considering substituting cialis for my prescribed medication. I haven't mentioned this to my cardiologist yet but will at my next appointment.

IIRC, viagra also lowers blood pressure, doesn't it. I've taken it but far prefer the effect of cialis.

I would especially like to hear from more from post-menopausal ladies who have taken either.

My wife had a hysterectomy 2 years ago and is on HRT. She's stopped taking the liquid C since we've concluded it did nothing for her colitis. But based on the few times she was on it, I highly recommend anyone to give it a shot (with a doctor's confirmation, of course) and to take a 1/4 of the regular dose to start out.

I wanna try!! Where can I get some?? I have heard Viagra doesnt affect women, is that not true? Cialis sounds fun..is it safe?

We've experienced nothing negative. I don't want to say it's safe, as I'm not a doctor. My personal experience with Viagra (& women) was with my ex-wife. Gave her a massive headache and a stiff clit, but not horny at all (because of the headache). God, she was pissed at me the whole night.

As far as our experience, my wife says it didn't feel any different until I started touching her. Then it felt more intense. Our sex averages about an hour and she can cum about 15 to 20 times. On Cialis she'd cum once... for about 45 minutes non-stop.

By the way, if you do take Cialis, make sure... make damned sure, your partner takes it as well. It's no use being horny and insatiable for 3 days if your partner can't keep it erect and provide you with all the orgasms you need for just as long.

I have long suspected that ED medications might have some beneficial effects on women too. Its very interesting to read about how they effect different people (both men and women) differently. I had the good fortune of being involved in a series of double-blind clinical studies on Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra in the late 90's thru the first years of this century, before any of these drugs were FDA approved. Since these were double-blind studies, neither the doctor nor I knew if I was taking the real deal or placebos. I was taking daily doses of the full-strength sized tablets for a 6-month period. With the first two, it was obvious to me that I was taking the actual drug. With the third (Levitra), I was absoutely sure that I was taking the placebo. After the study, the doctor thanked me for my participation by providing me with doctor's samples of the real stuff, which had been FDA approved by that time. The difference in my physiological responses convinced me that I had guessed correctly during the study. I never offered any of the pills to my wife. I'm not sure she would have taken them if I had. But later, I did discover another aphrodesiac that had some unexpected but quite pleasant effects on her. The study doctor later prescibed some synthetic testosterone (Androgel) to help raise my low hormone level. One night, after applying the gel to myself, I went to bed without washing my hands (contrary to the strong warnings on the label). I cuddled with my wife and fell asleep. In the middle of the night, she woke me up, panting, sweating, and horny as hell. She climbed aboard and rode me hard and experienced multiple orgasms. Some of the best sex we ever had. I later learned that this substance was/is being studied for this very purpose on women. Women have small amounts of testosterone naturally occuring in their bodies too. Seems a little boost might come in handy now and then for either sex!

Any LPSG women had similar experiences with Androgel?
