anybody here play a musical instrument?

just wondering bout this. if so, how long, how good are you, etc

i've been playing guitar on and off for about four years, and the best thing i can play is probably the super mario brothers theme tune i played bass for a while for a friends band as well.

I play the guitar, flute, harp and the tres, a type of 12 stringed Cuban guitar. I play them pretty well.

I have a major in piano and an minor in organ. I play by note and by ear. I never learned how to really play any aother instrument except the modern keyboard. I understand the process of the guitar, but by the time I find the chord, the song is over with and the crowd is gone.

But I play at three churches, funerals, and weddings as well as private parties.

I begin playing by ear at age three. And played for church when I was eight.

I have a guitar. I&#39;ve got some videos that teach me songs. The first video has Beethoven&#39;s 9th Symphony on it and Let It Be (and a few others). I take it they&#39;re easy songs?

I can never be bothered, should put some effort into it. It uses sheet music though so I need to memorise all the symbols. I can play a few tunes on keyboard though (Beverly Hills cop etc hehe). Not too good really

Back before I went to seed , I used to sing quite a bit (even studied in college), and I always thought I&#39;d enjoy taking up an instrument, but I never have.

I&#39;ve been told I have the fingers of a pianist (sounds vaguely naughty now that I type it, doesn&#39;t it?).

Sounds like there&#39;s enough talent here at LPSG to start up a band&#33; I&#39;ll be the jaded yet lovable road manager who has an unrequited crush for the troubled girl who plays tambourine&#33;

I can play the CD player, and am a master of the record player and tape deck... but even though I had piano lessons, I never got past a very stumbly "Jingle bells".

I can play pretty much any percussion instrument (played in the kitchen sink in an orchestra) as well as clarinet.
