Anybody is/was studying in University College Dublin or very familiar with the place?

It's absolutely cool there - not been to the college, but Dublin's awesome.

Are you the one who was deciding between Ireland and other places, about 18 months ago?

Thank you!

Yeah, and I decided on Ireland. However, I'm in need of some opinions on the accommodations as I need to decide on it in the next 2 days.

Try to go for something offered by the University or on a list approved by the University.

If you go for university accommodation you might want to consider catered, ie meals are provided. This is a good way to meet a lot of people, saves a lot of time, and can be cheaper.

I don't think it's as simple as one university accommodation being better or worse than another - they are just different, and therefore suit different individuals.

Coming from Malaysia you probably do want to be in university owned or approved accommodation, and it may be that the decision to be in such accommodation (rather than find your own) is the big one. The priority is probably to get your form submitted in good time. Do you want just a room, or meals as well? Probably catered would give you a bit more support.

Oh, OK. Thanks Jason. You have been helpful. Anyways, if catered, then I'm not sure if it's halal. So, maybe the non-catered one. As you said, they are different, rather than one being better or worse than another. :)
