Chubs and super chubs like myself are sometimes thrown in with bears. I personally think its different since most people into chubs like bears but not many into bears like chubs.

Bears are hot! My first 3 boyfriends were all hairy, the 3rd one embraced his bearness. He was super hairy (all over his body) and he was a little bit chubby. Right before we broke up, we went to a bear-fest. A winter weekend, a hotel full of bears walking around in various stated of dress (or undress). Very hot!

The current boyfriend is naturally hairless. He does have some hair on his legs and his pubic hair, but since he is blond, it doesn't show up very well. When we met, he was very muscular, I called him my muscle bear. In the 10 years we've been together, he has stopped working out and his body has gotten chubby. While I still wish he more body hair, I think he is super fucking hot and love his body.

I always describe myself as”heavier bear type.” No judgment to anyone’s identity or preferences, those just aren’t my preferred words or identifiers. i dig bears, even though i am the total opposite of one.... what's been said by bears here about lack of interest kind of works both ways tho.... i've been on sites/apps like bearforest and growlr, and have been met with a lot of negativity from bears/chubs/dads/otters because im not one myself.... bear culture, like all the other subcultures in the gay scene, seems to have its own standards when it comes to who is welcome and what they should look and act like.... ergo, i don't define myself on any of those lines and simply adopt the 'homosexual man' label.... no pretense, no assumptions.... personally, i find it odd that in a world where we are striving for full equality and inclusiveness, we seem to create so many differences in which to discriminate against each other.... from gender labels to sexual orientations and then whatever subsect of that people are in to.... and yeah, bears are just as bad as everyone else.... CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG???????

yeah, i am not really a bear either, bear culture used to be much better, now it's gone mainstream, and bears have often turned in total barbie bitches.... i don't like the scene at all, but i love the beefy, husky men... it seems like not many people here are, so it's nice to know

Love a good bear! I think thicker men are typically my main attraction though I prefer denser/muscled types. Being a chub, but somewhat smooth, I don’t think I qualify as a bear though.

I might like bigger guys, but I might go for any type of guy. Maybe it’s the pan/demi in me. Physicality is not the be all end all, but it’s a great start.

from my experience, guys who like bears/cubs tend to not be my type as they are interested in me based on a fetish and it becomes just a fetish so its hard to relate to somebody who just considers me nothing more than a fetish. it just doesn't make me feel sexy attractive.

i find most chasers go over the line from liking certain things, into reducing you to that fetish and they don't have the inter personal skills to move forward beyond the fetish. i feel thankful that somebody would like me like that, but i can't engage in conversation for too long on the subject of body hair, beards and build as i run out of things to say about it and they don't.

this has been my experience though and i'm sure it's a generalisation.

you sound like a nice guy. i'm bad at explaining myself but when you post "bigger guys just feel nice when i snuggle them" my reaction is to say. snuggling a person is intimate and i don't want to be snuggled or enjoyed because it feels nice a warm for someone because i'm a big guy.

i want to be snuggled because if i lose weight and become stick thin i'm wonderful to snuggle and if i put on even more weight i'm wonderful to snuggle. i don't like any form of closeness of intimacy based on bear fetish. that's just for sex. intimacy for me becomes uncomfortable if their is a fetish behind it. i just think we all have to be careful with our "types" and "fetishes" and not reduce people to them because we prefer something and we're simply exchanging fetishes like a transaction
