My friend went from bi to gay, back to bi and is now gay once again. I personally find it hard to believe that once you have gotten through puberty and you dont know for 100% what your sexuality is the there must be other things going on, I dont see sexuality as a light switch, your either one ot the other in my opinion.

An ex of mine did the same thing. He was a pastor's son who was "straight" through college. Then he came out ... for a while. Then his family disowned him and he headed back in the closet, telling friends he was actually bi and was dating a (butt-ugly) woman for a while. Then he seemed to get over the family thing and for a while now, has been fully out-and-proud.

Sexuality is most certainly not a light switch. People's sexual identities are fluid. And some people really don't understand their own identity if it's not a standard one. I took nearly a decade to finally grasp what it meant to be pansexual, for example. Sometimes my eye strays toward me a bit more; sometimes, toward women. And it changes over time -- and, I think, in response to my relative testosterone levels, depending on when I'm in a hardcore cardio phase or not.

To me I just see pansexual as another term for bisexual, once again in my opinion.

Right. However, your opinion is not aligned with modern science.

Start with this brief news story: What Is Pansexual? Here’s How It’s Different From Being Bisexual

... then, continue researching. You might be surprised at how significantly the world doesn't comport with your opinions.
That's not science : ), science is that there are only 2 genders which is an undisputed fact. However I will agree in terms of instance closer to home. Like when a guy who identifies as straight but falls in love with a post OP trans girl, I guess that could be classed as "pansexual"

No, it's science that there are two sexes. Sex is biology; gender is a complex expression of sexual identity and orientation.

Please, guys -- do a little research and reading before spouting off patently absurd claims dressed as "opinion."

Dude, just stop. At this point, you're trolling. I pointed you to evidence you clearly didn't review. Given that this is the "Ask a Bi" forum, your continued trolling is a violation of section 10 of the LPSG terms and rules, and will be reported as such if you persist.

To get back to the original point of the thread before the troll took over haha:

I consider myself gay but i have had sex with quite a few women. Some was a relationship before I came out and a few after I came out just as fun. I don’t look at women out on the street and get excited over them but if the situation presented itself again, I wouldn’t say no.
Sexuality is a spectrum and I think if more people were open to that concept and explored their own sexuality without judging others or themselves, it would def be a more fun place.
