Ugh. Snow. Winter. Cold weather. Frozen genitalia. Dogs freezing to fire hydrants. Red barns turning blue because of the cold. Scraping the windshield. Having to turn on the furnace. Having to wear long pants and a damn coat. Yuk.
Christmas should be celebrated with palm trees and margaritas at hand, wearing shorts and a T-shirt. :biggrin1:
Screw this cold weather BS.
(at least I get to spend a week in Mexico where it's warm shortly...)![]()
I'm elated to write, that as of the last day in November, we have had no snow
at all in the Greater Toronto area. It was 18 degrees C today as well.(76 F )
Tomorrow on the other hand.......
nope... still 70 here in DE.
Isn't it DECEMBER?!?!?! There are roses BLOOMING in the back yard!!! If this winter continues to be so warm, i expect to see a lot of tree death next spring. They need the cold weather to kill their cellular respiration and save a little energy up for the spring leaf burst. I'm a little worried.
OK, maybe I am angry. Had 7+ inches of wet heavy snow this morning, and one of the 40+ year old, 30+ foot tall evergreens framing my house succumbed to the weight of the snow when the sun came out today. This is only the first snow of the season here. Not a good way to start winter - I'm bummin.Snow makes me angry. OK, maybe not angry. Depressed. Confined. Extra work/cost/time wasted. I hate snow.

Watching Chevette ice racing helps, though
That's what happened to my tree - soaking/freezing rain, we haven't had enough freezing temps yet to freeze the earth, then wet heavy snow, then sunshine to melt it some. The tree (bush? shrub? it's too tall) is intact, but at a 60* angle with half the root ball exposed. Man - I hope it can be saved.well it started out as rain yesterday, then got colder so the rain turned into freezing rain, and then the snow hit about 10:00 last night, we got 11 inches of the shit... so that means that when I show up Monday, I will have twice as much work waiting for me, and a big mess where people have tried to do my job for me and fuck things up.

Heh... commiseration on the weather on LPSG - too funny :biggrin1:
Yeah, no doubt - considering some of us hear the "expecting inches" double entendre frequently.I'm impressed that there haven't been any jokes about expecting 8 inches and getting 6...
OK there's one plus to snow - Chevette ice racing :biggrin1:
Fast/Furious drifter punks got it all wrong
